you remove the blower, then the manifold under it to change them.

them put it all back together.

the super charger gasket is called a upper plenum gasket, get some valve cover gaskets, a oil pan gasket, and new elbows. check the rear seal for leaks or even change it cause it out of the car and easy to change it.

not really, you wont need head gaskets, the lim gaskets are 42 bucks, the vc gasket kit is 55, the upper plenum gasket is 12, not sure on the oil pan or rear gasket, but it cant be to much. its worth changing all the common oil leak gaskets and seals as long as the engine is out of the car. makes for easy work. rent buy borrow a engine stand, also makes working on the new engine a lot easier.

what elbows??

cooling elbows, lim to alt bracket. in this pic you'll see it snapped off on the left side.

you have 2 of them, this top one and a lower one under the alternator, both elbows go into the alt bracket. they cost 5 bucks, not a big deal. new vac lines is also recommended, anther 5 bucks or so, you'll want to get 2 new vac T's as well. they cost 2 bucks at advance auto.

ok i will try and make sure i get all that if i do this. Thamks for all the help tonight guys!! Ne more good ideas or suggestions feel free to let me know. Gotta get some sleep..

Upper plenum gasket/ supercharger gasket for 2004+ cars is like 30-40 bucks ish, not $12 like a 97-03 car.

why not cut a gen 3 to fit? wont that work? if not whats 30 bucks more vs a total rebuild anyways.

you'll need oil a filter, and antifreeze too. another 35 bucks. then why not toss it a tune up, another 50. it adds up, but still less then a rebuild, and a rebuild would need a tune up and fluids any way.

dont wanna have to swap all that stuff want to keep it as simple as possible have way to much into this thing already. how do i know what i have for a tranny i guess there are 2 diff options? 2.93 fr2 or 3.29 fr9?? which one is better also?

If you have a comp g GTP you have 3:29

well i think i figured out what im gonna do. I can get a entire new engine completly rebuilt all new parts for 2,300. Versus gettin one with 48,000 on it for 1,500, then replacing all gaskets and seals plus labor i would have almost that stuck into it, and still would have 48,000 miles on it. So i think it makes sense to go new plus it has a 3yr unlimited mile warranty on it.. The place im gonna have do it has used these motors for yrs i guess and never a prob.. gonna have a garage do it so everything is under warranty and totally covered so i dont have any worries. Only charging 500 for everything to do it so thats worth it to me to be covered! Now just gotta find a money tree around here so i can do this! Anyone got one they dont need? :) Might have to hold off for a bit yet. Will keep ya all in the loop. Thanks again for everyones help and advice!!

i hope your shop only ordered a long block, not a whole engine, you can reuse your lim and blower, and valve covers. no sense in paying for stuff you dont need to pay for.

hell if the heads are still good on your engine, you could pick up a short block some what cheaper compared to a full engine. re use the top of your old engine.

yes just a long block, but im gonna get everything i can new also water pump and all pulleys i need to dont want NE MORE probs with thiss thing!! didnt order yet will prob b a couple wks or so. 3 yr 36,000 mile warranty he said been dealin with them 4 20 yrs and only 2 bad ones that shouldnt really have been warranty but did it anyway. Usually can have a diff engine in a day or 2 at most if somethin happens. I want all new dont wanna use old vital parts.. Guess this motor has all graphite gaskets, not real sure what the diff is, but they say really good.. Not totally sure on everything else but def gonna find out b4 i order it..

whatever head gaskets come with the engine will be fine, they are on already when you get the engine. chances are the shop will still be swapping your lim and blower, make sure those are the metal gaskets. not the old plastic crap. ( they still sell the plastic crap)
