So i'm thinking of acutally selling my car...

jerZcavy4120

honda owner.
Now don't get me wrong.
I love my car, and always will its in great shape with one previous owner, and runs virtually flawless.

but.

it's not really what i want...

i want a manual. Bad.

and i'm tired of FWD bs.

but i love the pontential firebreathing power that 3800's offer..

so i'm thinking of picking up a 3800 powered 5spd Firebird.

and getting a much needed truck for the winter..

I can't really go to my friends about this because they
A: love my car just as much as i do and will just tell me to keep it.
B: will think that it will be stupid to trade for something like that.

thats why i'm asking you guys, what do you think i should do?

keep my pretty much perfect GP till the end of time
or should i get a panty dropper fbody and a sweet work truck?

no.
it would be a v6 manual t-tops only.
+ within the first year of owner ship, itd be cammed with head work and... boost?

Cost a little more to mod the LS but you get so much more out of it. LS1=V8 350HP L67=V6 240HP. I would get the LS1 if I was you

yea if your going to get a f-body might as well get the V8 since they have the option, thats like buying a grand prix GT and not the GTP

-_-

im not looing tpo go that fast, and a modded 3.8 i think will accomplish what im looking for out of the car, im just basically looking for something i can effortlessly get sidewayz as well as all the other fun tthings rwd offers... + i have a genV with lim sitting home. im just lookimg for a car i can have fun with rather then go fast, nahmean. im looking for a driver enjoyment car and i think thatll be what im looking for..idfk :-/

man u mine as well save the extra G's and get a T/A and just like do exhaust or something, ull thank yourself later

isnt it a ***** and a half to put a s/c on 3.8 powered f bodies? that being said...without a power adder our 3.8's are WORTHLESS. with a cam and heads your sitting at what...210 whp? lul yay lets buy a new car and make less than what im making now and will get owned by my gtp...

get the LS if you want f body. my friends bone stock 2000 T/A put down 315 at the wheel and he got the car for 11k with 13k miles on it. its also a 6 speed and i bet it gets the same gas mileage as a heavily modded 3.8 without a power adder.

plus v6 f bodies are girls cars. just sayin.

save up, buy V8 car, take your time building it, keep the GTP for daily driver.

back in the day my mom went out and bought a 82 firebird se the first year that looked like KIT from night rider. it had a v6 and a 4 speed, and it was a turd on wheels. all it did was turn heads for a year lol

i know im taking about 2 gens ago engine, but the newer ones aint all that great for a camaro or firebird. unless is got a new v6 with 300 hp, but that aint gonna happen.

and the v8 will make the back end kick out and do all the cool rwd stuff, the v6 will be a huge let down.

If you get an F body with a V6 (understandable for mileage and insurance reasons) I would'nt mod the motor, just some nice rims and a stereo. No point in modding the V6 because it will still get stomped by a stock LS1.

RWD isn't fun if you can only break the tires loose when the ground is wet. I know 3800 runs deep round dez hur parts. Really though? This is of course, just my opinion, but a 3800 fbody shouldn't even be an option. If the 3800 is the only platform you have interest in, or desire to mod, I would just stay with your GTP. LS1 or bust.

fvck that. the only reason id ever get a v6 fbody is if i had plans to go balls out on a turbo build.

I would not go that far lol its more like buying a SE and not a GTP like dsmuts sed

its worse than that, the f body will just hook up and go with a v6 in it, the V 8 will be loads more fun to drive. its like 2 completely different cars.

just because a fwd car spins the wheels means nothing when switching to a rwd set up.
