• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Delilah....dyno rackar

Re: My 06 GP GXP Her names Delilah

I mean its gonna cost me 36 bucks a day to keep my car in the shop...so I'll probably do the lowering springs and struts in parking lot. What all is required to install those new springs. I know at the shop they have a spring compressor machine but I dunno how to use it

What's NTC? I'm going to what's called ITX...formally known as mohabi viper (I misspelled that)
Its predeployment training

ok, I got it. Yeah NTC is our desert, pre deployment training.

NTC is about 149 miles from Vegas on the Cali side.

Re: My 06 GP GXP Her names Delilah

Ah ok, is it a month long rotation? NTC was, fvcking waste of time, cause over there it's an ever changing battlefield.

Re: My 06 GP GXP Her names Delilah

Yea its 6 weeks approximately...but its very useful for my platoon cause its the only place in the country we can actually do (legally that is) our job

And spazz...you did hear correct...lower is the word

It's rather simple air tools are needed but can speed the process up.

Grand Prixs Of North America • View topic - Step by Step Strut Removal & Rebuilding W/ Pics and Part #'s

For a reference ^

I would put the car on jackstands in the parking lot if it's allowed. Remove all 4 struts. Either use your local on site shop and use their compressor and rent the coil spring compressor from autozone. Cost around $25 or so and you get your money back when you return it. compress spring. Zip off nut holding the assembly together. Send just the struts out to Billstein to get rebuilt. When you get it back..go back to shop assemble the strut w/ springs..go back home and install. No need to spend $36 a day to store your car.

Nice, you get to use all your useful/ not useful government issued crap. Make sure to use chapstick, SRS!

O I got several tubes standing by...and the lav does not heat things up.inside of it very well at all so warming layers are a must.

And thanks for that info. That will help a lot when I go to do it. I'm looking forward to this project!

Re: My 06 GP GXP Her names Delilah

You'll tell yourself afterwards why didn't I do this sooner.

Your probably right.. then I'll think to my self o wait I didn't have the money then. Now all I need is Cal speed to release the headers cause I want to finally use all the exhaust parts I have had

Re: My 06 GP GXP Her names Delilah

Me too. Procrastination is my biggest flaw. I had the springs just sitting in garage for years before I decided to throw them on :(

Re: My 06 GP GXP Her names Delilah

Yeah not a big fan of the smaller wheel gap also, but once I put on those pre gens, it should look way better.
