Parts discovery

Well I just put new power slots and Hawk pads on the grand prix then I wanted to do the fbody brake upgrade but I can't justify spending the money to do that and trashing the rotors and pads, then I got lucky my 2001 venture van needed pads and rotors and guess what seems that they are the same so I can swap the pads and rotors from the grand prix to the van. However here's where the fun starts i decided out of curiosity to see what else will fit and the lower control arms are the same and here's where it sucks, when I replaced the arms on the grand prix (same time I did rotors) they cost me $154.00 each, looked up the arms for the van and they are the same part and brand (moog) and will fit but I found they only want $54.00. So guys when ordering parts see what is comparable and ordering it under a different vehicle may save you some bucks.

i got my regal lca's for 42 each. 98 bucks shipped to my door step from partsgeek. rock auto is about the same. for dorman.

moogs are not that much more. on line any way. in a store they will rob you blind. the dormans were 75 each at the parts store. f that lol

do more research for the f body up grade. shop every damn site you can find and compare prices, till your arm hurts from working the mouse lol save moneys.

I always cross reference parts with other w body's like regals, montes etc and find the cheapest deal.

Yeah but;
a.) Who would have though a minivan could cross with a gt
b.) who would have thought same part number would have a different price

a) anyone who knew that the u-vans were basically w-bodies. (look up kuntzie's turbo 3800 montana)

b) same part is gonna have a different price anywhere you go to buy it.

Anywhere yes but I seen some places on line if I said it was for a grand prix it was one price a venture another from the same site
