I dunno where I've seen it clean...just urs is the only one I've seen with a gtp badge centered on the back is how I recognized it

That SE spoiler looks great with the shaved keyhole. I have one sitting in my room. going to the junkyard tomorrow to find an se trunklid.
 


Well this thread sure got derailed.

Anyway I may end up doing this as well if I get a daytona or 40th spoiler. I like the look but when I looked over my spare trunk quickly I didn't see any way to get the key hole out. How is that done?

you take it out....

you unbolt the locking mechanism on the underside of the trunk, and pull out the lock cyl pieces, then bolt the electric locking assembly back in place....

I got lazy when filling my hole left from the lock assembly... took some body sheet metal cut out a round dick to just fit inside the hole, and JB welded it in there, and bondo'd over top .. its held up better than i was expecting

If you still have questions, i can pull my lock assembly off my 97 to show you guys better
 
I guess I'll have to look at my extra trunk again. There is no lock assembly that I remember but it didn't look like the lock itself had a way you could get it off. I must have been high when I looked at it or something. lol. JK. I guess I'll take a peak tonight and see if I can get it out now.
 
it's pretty straight forward lol

i had a one track mind when i did mine... objective was to get the lock cyl out, and i did.... I can't remember off the top of my head what i did...
