• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Where should i start off, Im not new to the racing scene or fast car scene but im kind of new to the grand prix scene. As a GM tech and Speed Shop owner Ive had my share of cars and trucks and ive worked on a couple grand prixs. I put one in the 13's on street tires with bolt ons. I just bought a 2004 Grand Prix GTP and from what i can tell its fully loaded. Black with ebony leather interior. Im looking for a low 13 second pass or even a high 12 second pass. This will be my daily driver and i dont want to put heads, cam or stall converter.

Welcome! But good luck without an intercooler, and or cam with the m90 for 12's. maybe high and slim possibility of mid 13's

Headers, high flow or no cat, maybe thermostat, custom tine or camed tune and downsize to a 3.6 pulley. If you wanna drop to a 3.5 then I believe rockers and a few other supporting mods and again a tune. Look up the safely modding your 3800 thread, it's the bible round these parts.

Headers, rockers, ic, smaller pulley, and weight reduction should get you into low 13's with sticky tires.

I was just gonna ask why more people dont run nitrous. Also, search out the cat diagnostic test. Im still a noob so I dont know 100% if it applies to you or not, but something you may wanna keep in mind or look into if you dont plan to run a cat.

Thanks for the help guys. I think im ordering some ssac headers, a water/meth kit, some rockers, a pulley and ill port the blower myself. Thanks hvacgtp I learned some good info from that thread. Its just a littlw shop in south texas called trackstar motorsports. I usually build gm trucks, corvettes, mustangs and camaros. I got a deal on this gtp and I love the way they drive so I jumped on it.

I would avoid the water/meth kit. I do not see many running these types of setups successfully often.
You want an air to water intercooler.
