• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Would you like more examples?

But you ARE arguing that. Your whole arguement is that shift kits don't help the trans, but breaks it.

And what are those examples of from 3800pro?

NO. I never said a shift kit doesn't help a transmission. It does help clutches. However, it's hard on hard parts. Please re-read my posts and do a better job familiarizing yourself with the parts inside these transmissions.

I did read them, what is the example? 1 is a sale thread for a special on input shafts. The only relation is his comment about the shift kit breaking stock ones. This proves that the input shafts are weak, not that the shift kit was the reason.

I would put money on the odds that the stock trans was beat to crap, and then had a shift kit installed because it got sloppy after a thorough beating and after the kit was installed it finally gave up and let go. Likely it was on its way out and the shift kit was the last straw.

I know several people who put a shift kit on a high mileage car and have had no problems, every car is different and you seem kind of biased. But what do I know, apparently I know nothing about these cars.
