Alright I was comparing the Ford lightning m90 snout to the Grand prix m90 snout. It looks to me that the Ford snout looks a lot shorter than the Grand prix snout. Is this correct or is my perspective off? And does the Ford m90 snout bolt up to the Grand prix m90 snout? Thanks

The snout on the Ford style might not even bolt up straight, I doubt the rotor pack is the same either.

The snout is way shorter because the body of the Ford M90 is longer from the looks of it.

This is a picture of the gen3 snout not the genv. The genv only has 2 holes on top. And yes I know the shorter snout wont reach the second belt. I am doing a topswap but want to avoid switching out the harmonic balancer. I want to keep it to one belt if I can. The reason I am looking for a shorter snout is so I can run a normal pulley on it and not that goofy ssm90 pulley. I was doing a little more looking around and it looks like the Roush m90 snout will work but I do not know how much shorter the snout is. And someone also brought it to my attention that the bonneville ssei supercharger snout may work. Could this be a possibility?? Thanks

The bolt pattern for the snout looks identical to the genv bolt pattern...but afterall it is a picture.

Im saying gm used the same snout length for all gen 3 blowers.

Do you know the length of the snout you need? Have someone measure a ford snout for you.

Theres almost no chance it will line up, but youre going to have do some legwork of your own.

I know i will need to do some legwork on my own, I realize that, but before I get my head to deep in this project I need to know some dimensions to see if it is even worth trying. I figure I would ask this snout question because I am sure there is someone on here that is a gooroo in m90s. I dont know of anyone who has a roush blower.

Its worth switching to the SC'd coil bracket just so you don't have to worry about that failing on you.

By the time you get there, swap balancer and add a stand off.

The belt setup is hardly difficult if you're doing a non SSM90 "top swap".

SSM90 pulleys would probably be less expensive than sourcing another snout.

If the other snout is off by a single millimeter, its going to side-load the belt and cause premature wear on the belt and the blower.

I will probably just run a ssm90 pulley for now, but if I ever wanted to keep creating more power and getting smaller and smaller pulley sizes I could with the shorter snout. The reason I am doing it this way is to avoid swapping the harmonic balancers.
 
You'll be able to make enough power to have trans concerns with a 3.4.

I'd just go the SSM90 pulley route.

The balancer swap isn't that bad to be honest.

Just make sure you have a pry bar handy.

Lol!! I think I will do that to start and if I want to go faster then I will look a lot deeper into this.
