HIDs in stock 2000 GP headlights

I had the spyder projectors in a different GP with hids and I was actually impressed with them. Not as good as the retrofit I did on a different car but they still had great output and pattern.
You already have experience doing a retro yet you want to put HID's in stock capsules and blind the **** out of people? That makes no sense.

^ yup I just caught that. Figured after you do a retros you don't go back to just pnp hids but maybe I'm wrong.

HIDs in stock housings are GREAT. I dont care about what everyone says.. I have NEVER EVER had anyone flash me. All I really care about is CAN I SEE..... And as far as the whole "wait till you get a ticket" argument I say this.. With all the sh!t they can give me a ticket for, If I get a ticket for my headlights being too bright I will take it and say GOOD DAY. And flash the cop as I leave...

Have.. Liked them too.. But he wants to know if they are better then OEM. And with the level of improvement with the HIDs in stock housings I dont think I will ever retro...

its like comparing a 100watt incandescent porch light to a 100watt halogen porch light....but HID is more like a 100watt Metal Halide porch light......it lets you read the fine print

I got flashed maybe twice a month with hids in oem housing. I get flashed almost daily with the dam projectors. I refuse to adjust them lower at this point

Yes because this is my daily driver, not my only car. I want to put the money into the toy if it's not something I NEED to spend money on. Like, the downpipe and struts I bought for the car were needed because my struts are completely shot and the factory DP was leaking, plus it'll be good for gas mileage and less KR. Projectors, on the other hand, is not something I need.

No they're not great. They suck. You'd realize this if you've ridden in a car with retros.

I just have to put this out there. My car came with factory hids in regular housings, not projectors. yes i know the housing are different, but still there hids in regular housings from the factory they cant suck that bad

HID's in non projector HID housings are perfectly fine. They're designed to control the beam properly. Putting HID's in a halogen style capsule ****s the beam all up because the light source is in the wrong spot. I've seen a few cars with factory non projector HID's...they're perfectly fine.

Lol. The black part of the housings don't make much of a difference anyway.

I think I'm just going to wait for my birthday next month to get some projectors and hids.

fcuk it blind everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have hid's in my stock headlights and i get flashed quite a bit every night but then i just flip my high beams on......

I do have Black Crystals. But only the top and bottom of the insides are painted black. IMHO if it effects light output it is VERY minimal. However it could possibly effect glare maybe.
