HIDs in stock 2000 GP headlights

my two cents...ive done crazy amounts of hid swaps into cars and found about 90% of the high/low wiring is backward into the magnet relay.. the crazy light throwing and too bright problems people are having?.. are they high/low or single beam?. i just did 5k's in my stock housings and fogs and they focus beautifully and dont piss anyone off.. that was after i changed the high/low wiring to how it should be..
 


So it must be stuck on high beam when they do a single beam? Interesting.

I'm going to get a dual beam hid kit from vvme.
 
I have the dual beam kit.... And I have never fixed the harness to make the highs work.. Thats how Bad ASS the lows are...
 


You don't have to use projectors it's too much money for not that great of looking headlights. Just get a higher kelvin temp hid bulb. Like 8000k to 12000k the color drowns out some light but their still bright as hell. Whatever you do don't get 55w they run too hot and drown out color and you will get flashed everytime. I run 35w 10000k and if your not a retard when aiming them people will never flash you, like me I never get flashed.
 


Truthfully I'm obviously going to advise against putting HID's in your stock housings. But VVME has a 9007 bulb that has the high beam function. I believe it's the 9007-3 kit. It's got a magnetic base that tilts the bulb for the high beam. IF you can adjust the base properly you can actually get a very controlled beam pattern. I'll find the thread that shows how to do this. If you're willing to take a couple hours and modify the base I would actually recommend HID's in stock capsules cause the glare is no different than a stock halogen. It's just multiple times brighter
 
Do it. Don't listen to people crying about HID's in stock housings. They don't understand how to look on the other side of the road. They're like a deer caught in the headlights..."OMG look at this jackass with his HID's!!! JUST LOOK AT THEM- *CRASH*"

Figure it out, stop complaining about it.
 


I just put a set of DDM in my stock housings last month.... They had to be re-aimed but other than that there fine. Only been flashed once
