GXP wheels???

anyone own a gp gxp that dark cherry metallic red? thats the name listed that its called anyways. but back to my question. has anyone taken the stock wheels from the gxp and used black plastidip on them? if so how does it look and pics if you could. I have been thinking about doing it but wanted to see how it looks before i attempt it. dont wanna do it then not like it if ya know what i mean.
 


Powder coating or a professional paint job, but idk about painting chrome. Getting them powder coated would be well worth the money spent, so many kids around me use plasti dip, and it looks like garbage!
 
true. ive never seen them plasti diped before. and ive seen people with black gxp rims before. specifically on here and on a red car. just dont know if their powder coated or plasti diped...also dont know if black rims would go good at all on my car either
 


yes it is. i always thought it was more maroon but the title says dark cherry metallic lol. i thought so to. theres another member here on lejeune where i am with a red gxp and with black gxp rims. i tried messaging him to see if i could look at em closer but after he replied and said he was here to he wont reply back...o well.
 


I would, you can go to tire rack .com and pick out a black set close to the Gxp style rim and see what ya think
 
ill give it a try tomorrow then post it here and see what yall think...for now its lights out as in 4 and a half hours i gotta be up again anyways.

That's dip.

It can look nice when done correctly :)

To the OP I would personally try dip then go full on and paint them or powder coat them if you like the look :)

Also. It's like 24 bucks for 4 cans. You won't be losing much if you don't like it lol.
 
Bastard......^^ doesn't look to bad, and yes black plastidip is a good idea to just get a feel for the look
 


I'm no good with cropping photos. Failed miserably at it lol. So with black plastic dip if I use it...can it be taken off without damaging the original rim or do I need to be pretty sure its the color I want when I do it

Hmmmm....I think I may try it now. Any tips for applying. I plan on throughly cleaning the rim then before applying the plastidip willing them with alcohol. Anything else I should do?
