2007 GP wobble.....

I have a 2007 GP, just got it a week ago with 63,XXX on it. I didn't notice it at first but there is a slight wobble when I let go of the wheel. When I have a hold of the wheel you cant feel it at all in the hands, or at least I cant. Only feel the wobble when moving, only at 25-40 though, then it smooths out. I also feel a wobble/pulsation during moderate to hard braking. Unbalanced tire maybe? Warped rotor? Or is this a possible suspension sounding problem?

Ill replace those just to be sure. I'm goin to stop by a shop tomorrow and have them re-balance the tires. $139 for my brake pads, caliper pins, and hardware, I will install those next week. Does anyone know of any good rotors? The brakes are fine but they are puttin off some much unwanted dust. (cheap a$$ brake pads the dealer put on there, I guess)

why new hardware? just clean and re grease you old parts. use synthetic brake grease on the slider pins, most of the time a pack comes with the new pads, if not AZ has it at the counter in little ketchup pack like deals for a buck or so.

if you want to replace it all any way up grade it to f bodys. spend a few more bucks for the calipers and brackets and lines, and have better brakes, much better brakes that is.

the pads and rotors will cost the same really.

and that discount body parts page is a empty cart.

basically your using the calipers and brackets and rotors off a 2000 + camaro or firebird. they have a dual piston caliper, stops the car much better then the stock crap.

and they fit under a stock 16 wheel.

i bought mine used, with every thing from ss brake lines to the pads and rotors for all 4 corners, and front calipers and brackets. only the front brakes get upgraded.

Many will say different.

It all comes down to the pad/rotor combo. Decent rotors with really good pads will stop the car just as good if not better than f-body's without spending the extra cash.

Get some decent pads and some ultra premium rotors and be on your way.

I'm going to try using bigger, premium rotors, and keep with my brake pads I bought already. They are C-maxes I got just before I quit Auto Zone last Friday. (30%off)FTW. The wobble disappeared after I took the driver side tire off, put it back on and re-torqued it lol.

dont try to use a bigger rotor, it wont fit under the stock caliper. just stick with the premium rotors, napa or the like, some where they cost more then the cheap ones. 50 or so a rotor is about right for good stuff.
