• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Common problem from what I hear.

I punch the gas and my boost lags and only goes about halfway when it does kick in (It sucks when your at a stop light and the person on the side of you is ready to race you know you can leave them in the dust and your boost doesn't kick in on time and they pass you :th_shakinghead2:) . I checked the vacuum lines and found cracks in a couple of the elbows and one of the hoses not the T's I replaced them for $18 for the full assembly and the problem is still there. I've researched this on the internet lots of times but can't find a straight answer they say check vacuum lines, bypass solenoid (BTW I went to the GM dealer and the auto parts store they have no idea what a bypass solenoid is nor a part #. Idiots!) I used my snap-on scan tool to investigate this sure enough a P0243 code (Boost control solenoid control circuit A) "Electrical great" I said. On hot days it seems to never work but sometimes on cold nights it works great. Does anybody know the fix for this to save me time since I don't have much time with a job and 2 kids and a baby?

You can open the hood and see if it is working while the engine is running. It should flip closed when you snap the throttle.

mine used to snap closed too but the diaphram was still cracked. you can take it off of the car and push the plunger in, then put your fingers over the holes to hold the plunger in. If the plunger falls, you have a bad diaphram.
