So. Hello! Im new here.

Screw speedbumps....cobalt ss rally build. - Cobalt SS Network

I recommend going to page 4 as it currently looks.

I tried doing something different similar to dirtyimpreza.com. Ive seen lifted VW Rabbits and all sorts of cars "rally" styled out.

Not alot of love but whatever.

2006 SS/SC
2.8
60's
ZZP Mid length/3" DP
Stock exhaust
ZZP 3" CAI
ZZP S2 Front Mount Heat Exchanger
Solid Mounts
HP Tuners

Bout to install a LS4 TB

Last time I ran it was a 13.8@105 since then its 200 lbs lighter and has that intake and retune. Also well...blah blah blah

I work at a dealer and we have a 2002 GTP traded in. 90K, White, CLEAN.

Drove it and well I like it. First automatic Ive ever had, power is nice but pretty slow compared to the SS IMO. I cant believe these cars are not intercooled.

I did a bit of reading and found out that you HAVE to have I/H/E to run a smaller pulley along with 104s and a 180 TSTAT. That could net you 13s........is that right? A cam would put me into the 12s?

I have HP Tuners Pro already so I will tweak torque management and all that.

Really looking for some input here. What would you do?

4800, but I would finance a lil more. I have a lil negative equity. I would be saving about a 100 a month on a payment.

Seems your taking a lot of flack for trying to get the rally look and functionality from a Cobalt SS. I like it. Hell, if they can Rally Geo Metro's and Tempos, you can rally a Cobalt.

well you are going to find that anywhere, including here. if people dont like what you do to your car or stuff you say they are going to tell ya. ive been on both sides of it and i will never give a negative opinion again after experiencing it myself.

about the price....ive seen gtp's from that generation go for as cheap as 1500 but they had a ton of miles on them. im thinking for the one you are looking at depending on its condition 2500-3000 tops. 4800 is around what some 04+ gp's are going for that arent in great condition. thats my 2 cents

Every car is different but you don't necessarily need that stuff to run a smaller pulley. I don't care what anyone says on here its bull****, but the vendors love people telling others that. In the end it just means more money for them. I suggest you use the HP tuners scan and go from there. However, if you are looking at going cam then you would be dumb not to do the items you mentioned anyways.

Nitrous is seriously probably one of the best mods to do to this car. But many are afraid to use it because of the horror stories from others stupidity. The ones that do use it correctly have some serious gains and propels their car well past what they expected.

id pay 4k tops for a clean 90k gtp. gonna have to deal with higher prices if you want to buy from a dealer OP.
see what you can get em down to.

as for the hating....yeah, it goes on really on any forum. youll always get the dumbasses, the know-it-alls, the internet egos...its just finding the one thatll show it less LOL

yeah the dealers will up the price i left that out. you are better off buying a gp from the owner privately dont buy a gp from a dealer

You might be be able to drop a pulley without touching anything or you might have to run headers to run stock timing on the stock pulley.

Like this.

Like rally build.

I'd say keep the SS/SC stock looking and rally the boat of the WBody, but that's me.
