Antifreeze leak - Still Leaking - Not LIM - New Pics Sept 29 2012

if it were me, id be de greasing the whole wet area , then hit it with brake cleaner and scrub what you can with rags to take any shine off the block, get it on ramps and run it and watch it like a hawk till i saw a trail or wetness, then follow the trail.

I did wash some, as u can see where the water is its clean and not greasy.

I was going to a friends shop and have it on a lift to see the leak.

Does anybody know if theres a frost plug in the rear of the motor??

Did you put a good bead of rtv on the side of the lim? What's it leaking now just antifreeze? There are freeze plugs on the back side of the motor that are fun to get at.

Have you had your cooling system pressure tested? Pinch off the hose going to the over flow and pressurize your system. Shouldnt take much pressure to get it leaking the way you described it.
Have you tried adding some coolant dye to the system? Requires a special kind of light to see the dye but your leak source 9 times out of 10 will be pretty visible.

Ya, lots of rtv, and can see a good seal.

No, havnt had tested.

and havnt died.

Ill see if i can find leak, or ill let my friend do the work at his shop.

OK put rislone liquid aluminum and now no leak, thats why there was brown crap in the rad cap from previous owner.

I have the same problem but on the other side of the engine. When I got home earlier and popped the hood, I could smell the antifreeze and a weird hissing sound around the power steering. Looked everywhere and found nothing, saw no leaks. These are the times when I hate cars.
