But what I want to know is if I should private sell it as is

or demod back to stock and trade in?

The only thing wrong with the car is the CEL for the EGR not existing anymore and the gas door got bent in a car wash somehow, but I was able to get it bent back about 95% :th_thumbsup-wink:
 


I've almost bought 2 different GTO's the last two weeks, one dealership offered 2k on trade for my car and I took that as an insult and walked out with out saying a word.

another dealer said $3100 which was better but still, all the work and time I have in this car is made my heart ache.

I'd rather demod it down to stock rotors and springs and sell all the parts off cheep to people that would actually appreciate them..
 
Demod!! Then depending on mileage if you could get say 4k trade in value I would do it. With your parts alone you should be able to make $1-2k on here. How many miles do you have acid?

hit 68k omw to work this AM :) not bad for a 2005 not a single mark or nick on the wheels or scratch in the paint. Shines better than the day I bought it. So many detailing hours :(

It has one reported accident from when the dump truck swung wide into me and drove down the side of my car with his front bumper.
 
I also have an S1X and 1.7's to be installed still. used but still have them. I looked at another GTO last night with 37k on it for $18000. I was thinking it was in an accident with a price that low, 6.0 6speed.. NOPE smokers car. I sat in it didn't even test drive it, the smell of the cleaners trying to cover the smell of the smoke made me sick. I am going to go take a look at a C5 tonight with the LS2 and 88k on it for 23k. If I cant find an acceptable LS car I might start looking for 02-03 SVT mustangs older RX7's or a 240.. I was even looking at a 350z
NO G8's. unless its a GXP but they are out of my price range.

I will find out more tomorrow. I will also try to get the price down to 20k
 
Wouldn't pay that much for something with a salvage title myself even if its a corvette mainly do to the financing if your going to get wrapped in payments for the next few years title has to be clear IMO

I am just going to start looking for another Miata..

Its not that I want a fast car it just I want something with a manual. I have even been looking for an 91-94 Cavi Z24 so I could do a 3.4 swap..

I want to go small this time @23 years old I have only ever owned my 93 old's and my 05 GP, big/heavy fwd cars. I own an ElCamino but it is parked in a garage and wont be taken out for another 2/3 years.

As you can see my Grandfather built a wood frame around it to store stuff above it. It will take some effort getting it out.

Just fyi when I traded my 2008 in, it had a little over 70k and the dealership gave me almost 7k for it in what KBB calls "good condition" mechanically and nearly perfect as far as paint and body go... so yeah I think you're getting hosed with offers of 3k
 
^ I thought that to but haven't looked at KBB pricing in so long for grand prixs used to considering trading mine for something different but nothin tickle my pickles unless its a gto and that's a no no for a DD
 
I used lending tree to try to find the best deal on a loan, ending up going through my bank.. now I have to tell them nvm.

But One of the lenders kept emailing about the loan so I replied with..
