Re: Super cheap intercooler build. Running total $125

Yes, a thorough write-up with lots of pics. Out last basic attempt at a write-up is old and most of the pics are gone.

Re: Super cheap intercooler build. Running total $125

Any intercooler writeup with pics will be btr than the zzp DVD instructions ;)

LOL Wise Guy

That is the easy stuff everyone can get. What to mod to get the heat exchanger mounted is completely different.

I picked up some zzp modded rails today to run with the ic so now the only thing i need to do is swap my alt bracket and mod my coil bracket and i'm ready to go. Oh and buy some hose to hook it all up.

Dan.. Nice core. I loved the WBS super duper core. One thing I chose to do was to add material on the LIM where it's thin on the sides.

Yes, put a piece of tape across the top surface of the LIM, then lay it up on an angle and mix up a lot of JB Weld. Repeated on the other side. I used the 3M rotolock to clean the manifold gasket surfaces and smooth the JB.

I didn't like it either. The black manifold was the one I had the core in. It's a great core..takes a ton of space though. I wanted a good amount of sealing area. This worked well overall.

Got this today in the mail so I'm all set to ic but now I'm doing it on my comp g instead of my 98.
