• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Intercooler set ups - what to go with

Dude...really? ZZP and Wbodystore both have kits. And then there is the holy grail of kits...the PRJ which is no longer made. Take a peak at their sites and you will see.

i dont know much about boosted cars. this is my first one. ive had NA cars since i was 16 :(. pissed it took me this long to get a boosted car! are the kits hard to install?

Nope...not at all. Basically you saw his pic with the front off. That's what you'd need to do. Remove the SC and install the intercooler and reinstall the SC. Then plumb all the lines between the IC, pump, and front heat exchanger.

what comes with taking the s/c off? like i said im not familiar with this type of motor and how it all works. i am some what good with mechanical work once i know how it works or how to fix it or how ever you may put it.

you wanna make the 2hr trip down to my location and show me how its done? haha

Unhook a bunch of electrical connections on and around the SC, remove the fuel rails & injectors, unbolt the SC.

hmmm i will have to look into this. i am really interested in going with an intercooler. i havnt checked out the sites yet, but what to the intercooler kits usually cost?

I could...but this week I'll be headed back to PA to finish my build on the IncREDi-hoopdy (aka Anna Nicole.) I think there's an install walk through write up for it though.

If you're not willing to look into what my first post even means, then it'll cost you 900 + fuel rail and injectors minimum.

Matt's suggestion for IC is the cheapest solution and it works well. Some people spring for the more expensive route but it's not absolutely necessary as it hasn't been PROVEN to be any more effective.

i am not doing it in the near future, i am mainly looking into costs of doing it and want to get familiar with the installation process
