• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Hard cranking with new battery?

no thats not it. thats the recirculate door. lets fresh air in. look to your left, use a flash light in broad day light it helps, its dark in there.

the black box thing you see not hooked up to anything, with the line to the hvac part in this pic. follow the line, that the little knob, its white. take the actuator off and turn the knob.

Gottcha...Thanks that helps a lot...tomorrow is another day! I was going nuts there for a minute!

Have you cleaned the battery terminals and the wires at the starter? Almost sounds like a dirty/bad ground somewhere.

On the hot air from the pass. side sounds like a blend door actuator. This is mounted on the passenger side of the airbox. IIRC you have to remove the glovebox and you can see/remove it from there.
Thanks for the actuator hint:cool: that was it!

Thanks for all your help, I got her done!! The hard starting total resolved itself too! Now off to the junk yard, my brother would be so proud:cool:

Glad to hear you got the actuator taken care of. As far as the hard starting we'll wait and see if it comes back. Hopefully it doesn't. Can't see how replacing an acutator would resolve a starting issue. Maybe all the resets you did with the cables helped clear something up.

Oh yeah, I didn't think they were related either, maybe everything under my car just dried out real good after all that deep water....what a nightmare!
