lol. well, it's like this. I had drank, I had sobered up, I had a headache, both due to alcohol and loud noise, and I was just feelin sick so I thought it best I just go lay it on down.

My mom told me about a house for sale by owner that looked nice. So I drove by it today. It's super nice looking, sits back a long drive and out in the country. Just shy of 2 acres, 2 story farm house with a big 2 car detached shop/garage. Got the number and called, $97k. I told the bf that it is worth looking at for that price.
And it's only .5 miles out of his desired living area....I think it could work.

I won't be responsible for mortgage payments, that's his monies. He's the one that's been looking for houses, I'm just trying to make him move a little quicker and get him to move out of parents house.
He kinda set the upper limit at $150k, so this one is more in the range of a majority of the one's that he has found. But he has only looked at 2, and that was last year.

It is for sale by owner (I know nothing about buying a house other than its expensive). Is buying from owner normally ok? It's an older couple (65+).
I can almost see him going thru a Realtor tho. He has a cousin that is a Realtor locally to us that he's talked to before.

Just make sure you get a home inspection. I've bought both of my houses without a home inspection and regretted it quickly after.

Yeah, that would be done for sure. Is there much negotiating with a "for sale by owner"? I.E...seller pays closings costs or inspection and such? Or is it more like, here's the money in exchange for house.

Buying a FSBO can sometimes be a pain, you are usually dealing with someone who thinks they are a know it all.
They also have history in the house and are unrealistic in the price.
Real estate agent probably told them what it is really worth and they said I can sell it with no commision and keep more.

Realtors usually won't show you FSBO's , nothing in it for them.

Only one way to find out. Hopefully the sellers will be reasonable.

Partied until 3:30am, slept 45 minutes, drove 3.5 hours to car show and worked 9 hours. Dyno'dthe loudest Mustang ever from Kook's Custom Headers at 731hp. I'm prety interested in some sleep.

got home thinkin I'd fix up my shower curtain rod, well...the original screw holes you can damn near put your finger through. And the wall is plaster or ceramic or whatever, it's an old house. AKA I don't have a drill or a way to relocate the screws...soooooo its just gonna have to hang there until I can get dad or somebody to fix it. :(
so upset they broke something in my house.
