• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

I've seen some of them, garden spider, about 5" round. Thay get pretty bid but are harmless. But, when you walk up on one and not expect it, that's a different story.lol!!!!

they dont bother me as long as i kno they are there...but when i turned around and that fugger was in my face i let a ***** yell i anit gonna lie.

That spider is called the Huntsman in Aus'. It is acutally a peaceful spider, none agressive spider. They mostly hunt rats and other small rodents. They hang out in the grain bins waiting for their next meal a lot. And according to an Aussie friend of mine, they do find their way into your homes. But she said all they would do is just get a broom and shoe it out the door.

Aus' is truly one of the homes to the biggest spiders in the general urban population. She mentioned there was one spider, who's picture I have at home, that will agressively attack humans if provoked. No joke! I will get the picture when I get home to post it here.

Actually I already had it in my photobucket as a Motivational Picture. Here it is. I can not remember the name of it, but it will actually attack and chase you. No joke!

In that situation, I would bring my fist down and smash the **** out of that thing. Then... wonder what planet it came from. :th_wtf: :th_sick1:

I think, and I stress think, that the original post is of a banana spider. Though Im not 100% of that as the body of the one in the picture is a bit different. Ive seen and taken pictures of them when I was down in Florida.

the thing is they gather back by my spare autoglass shed theyre not all that big but theres alotttttttttttt of them back there.I dont think its a banana spider we have alot of those here too...if they eat our state bird (m.osquito) they can hang out back there all they want

Some of you might have seen these pics I took before, but here is the female 3+" Golden Orb Weaver in our pumpkin patch. The second pic is the male, he is only the size of a nickel. I zoomed in on him much closer so his size looks a lot bigger than he really is.

Here's the latest find in my laundry room. Pretty good size Wolf Spider, close to 3" probably, but definitely not the biggest one I've seen around here. I've caught a few 4" or more across.
