Pulled Over

I take my tickets like trophy's! Every ticket I've got I've earned, unfortunately. I have a heavy foot and don't drive cars that blend in. In the past month I've gotten 3 tickets all of which I've just gone and paid. Now do I go plead Not Guilty on the big ticket ones, of course. But i don't do it to try and get out of the ticket. I do it to cause i try getting it reduced to a smaller fine and less points! Damn Wisconsin points system. If you know what you did or what your driving is illegal then you just gotta roll with the punches(fines) that come with it.

My worst one was I got ticketed for doing 39 in a 15, yep school zone. But I was passed by 3 cars while going through the school zone. The reason I got flicked was cause I was driving a Regular cab long bed Dodge Ram with a 6" lift and 35" tires, didn't really blend in. And I blocked the cops view of the other 3 cars with my truck.

On the seatbelt thing:

2 days ago a coworker of mine died in a car accident on the way home from work. The car rolled and was ejected and killed. Wasn't wearing her seatbelt. She left her husband and 3 teenage children. Chances are she would be alive today if she was wearing it.

Don't be stupid - Buckle up!

Yup. I am in now in favor of seatbelts. I used to be hard headed back in the day. AND I will still say in some circumstances that before the stupid law, we never wore belts or helmets and I'm still here today. BUT I no longer feel comfortable without it, especially the way I drive.

To Pure2Sin...

I always wear my seatbelt regardless...

Why?

Because of this:

If my girlfriend and I weren't wearing them we wouldn't be here today...I have a clean driving record, wreck wise...and that jackass pulled out in front of my at 55mph...but its your life...not any of ours...and I don't mean to get this thread off track...but hopefully you have enough common sense to take the two seconds to put it on before you take off the next time.

And here's what you all's GP looks like after a front end collision

The way I see it, wear your seatbelt, if not for your own safety, then at least so the fireman doesn't have to scrape you off the pavement.

Even better, wear your seatbelt, if not for yourself, then for your family and friends so that they don't have to identify your body in the morgue.

Its not about how safe YOU drive, its about the other drivers on the road.

Yikes. Looks like they use the LaserAlly in Alaska

Go to the Dr. tell them you are extra sensitive to UV and your skin seems to burn easy when you are in your car.

You can try to get a medical exemption that way. It's a long shot though.

next time put the hammer down and let her eat. find a dusty gravel road, drive figure 8's and when you get enough room on him hop back on the highway go on your way like nothing ever happened  and i hate cops that are assholes. Once i got pulled over by a state trooper for 80 in a 65 and got a warning, next time i got pulled over 65 in a 55 on christmas morning and got a $170 ticket. and it was in my old truck not the gp or i would have out ran him

Wow dude really? What you do in your car is your own, but please don't tell someone to try and out run the cops. You might outrun the cop, but the radio will get you, and if you have a one of a kind and they get your plate or a video of what you did, they can come get you later. All that would do it further hinder the problem, potentially harm him or someone else in the "get-a-way".

We don't condone street racing, much less high speed car chases. ... wow... just wow.

*All my racing is done on a closed course in Mexico*

this is exactly how to end up in jail for 5 years, your so smart.

if you think a GP can out run a cop car your even more crazy than you sound. your not getting away for long.

The whole "you're not faster than a radio" is BS. I guess it all depends on the area you live it though too. My Stealth is definitely one of a kind and I have ditched cops in it on several occasions. Notice I said ditched and not outran. There is a difference.

Now, do I condone doing what I did? Hell no. I am smart about things I do, dangerous or not.

This Freddy character doesn't sound so smart. He sounds like a kid around here that thought he could outrun anyone. He actually had the cop already on his ass already and continued to run.... right into a roadblock where he wasn't going to stop and the officer at the road block emptied his piece into the car. Not only did he get his car shot up, but he got shot and got his friend shot.

i dont live in the country, so, yeah your not getting away, plus they all have cameras now, and will catch your plate, and just wait for you at home these days.

it sounded like hes been watching smokey and the bandit to much, thinks movies are real life?????

I saw a pretty funny chase once. I was getting money from the ATM when a car being chased by 7 cop cars blows past. I happened to be going the same direction and lo and behold the idiots thought they were turning onto the highway, but instead turned one turn too soon and turned right into a cul-de-sac and cornered themselves.

my brother was in a pretty bad accident last feb, ( my bday actually) and needless to say, thank god he wasnt wearin his belt.. long story short, he was leavin my other brothers place headin home. had maybe 3 beer. someone played a prank on him and snagged his rear plate.. cops drove by, spun around and lit him up. he got spooked, swirved abit, hit black ice, and hit an oncoming car head on. brother's 07 impala flipped 6 times ( hood to trunk), and landed on roof, sliding for like 100 ft.. killed the driver of the car, and sent her passenger to the hospital via air support. brother broke his pelvis, shattered his ankle, and compressd his spine pretty good. paramedics said if he was wearin his belt, hed be dead due to the flipping and whatnot.. mhe was so messed up from the accident that he was diagnosed wit PTSD. NOW to add insult to injury ( litterally) he was charged with vehicluar manslaughter, and was sentenced to 4 years. hes now out of jail and in a half way house. the family of the deceased girl wanted my brother to be served the worst sentence, but since the police said it was an accident, he only got 4 yrs thank god.

k thats enough typing for me on this subject.
