Bolt pattern question

Alright so friend of mine has a 2000 Grand Prix GT, hes looking to buy new rims. These are the rims he is getting. They are 10 bolt (universal), i think? Came off an impala so i assume they would fit. i know we need 5x115 but will 10 bolt universal fit? i understand they say universal but for some reason i doubt they fit every car in the world. i dont know though. before he spends $500 dollars just making sure they will fit properly.

Forte 18 inch rims with p225/55r18 new tires

No rim is universal. A rim with 10 bolt holes has 2 bolt patterns. It might fit but depends on what year the impala was there were a few different bolt patterns throughout the years.

If they rubbed on an impala they would probably rub on a gp. Bolt them up on the front and drive around the block and see if they rub.

thats the problem, we cant try that. My friend has a family member going out to Detroit anyways (3 hours away from where we live) so if they fit, his family member will pick them up for him

Hmmm can't help you out there but the tires seem a little tall. Maybe someone will chime in and know what they are talking about lol

and i run 225/55/r17 on Pireli P4s, these on craiglist are Pireli 225/55/r18, so they are basically the exact same tire?

Universal is usually 5x100 and 5x114.3 bolt patterns unless its a really goofy wheel.

well they came off a 2000 impala so they will fit a GP but will the tires fit? i run basically the same tires so i guess they should fit. But for some odd reason they rub on the impala

that's because the tires are the wrong size. 225/55/18? who would buy such a size?

those wheels are also ugly.
