What exactly did you "rebuild" on this motor? And yes, the white smoke is likely a failed LIM gasket. Need to get that fixed before you spin a bearing or it will be time for a used longblock.
The boost gauge not reading is a vac leak more than likely. Check all your vac lines and be sure none are leaking. And check the "T" fitting under the S/C snout as they like to crack.
Don't be afraid to give us more details... cause right now I'm looking at you with a google camera about a billion miles away. You are a very small speck.Rebuilt My Engine And Im Having Problems With The Car, The Boost Gauge Aint Reading **** So I Dont Know Wats Going On, And Its Smoking White Out The Mufflers,
Incorrect just based on being Hippo.Well sounds like coolant is leaking somewhere (explains the white smoke) and you might have a vac leak
Incorrect, RTV in the corners only seals the crankcase vacuum and keeps oil from seeping out the edge of the LIM from lifter valley splash.my guess is your LIM is leaking... Prolly from the corners.. Did you use that RTV stuff in the corners???
When you did the motor, did you bother to look? Run the car and see if it disappears. I've seen this take over 45 minutes to clear up.im thinking it might be old oil that is in the exhaust but not sure
Not to a newb it may not. Oil smoke isn't all that blue.White smoke = Coolant....
Good question about the rebuild.. I'm not buying the LIM gasket though. It's not common to get enough coolant seeping past the gasket into the intake runner to smoke. Right on for the T under the snout/line to the sensor. What exactly did you "rebuild" on this motor? And yes, the white smoke is likely a failed LIM gasket. Not usually, a leaking lim would cause a coolant/oil seepage. A vacuum leak is possible..but it's sooo uncommon. You'd have a serious issue running the motor.Ok for give my ignorance here but would a leaking LIM also cause a 0 boost reading... Since the boost is measured by the Manifold pressure.....I could be WAY off here.
Best of luck, did you plastigauge etc?i blew 2 pistons so i put 6 new pistons changed all gaskets all bearings and oil pump
Ding ding ding... winnah! If the boost gauge never moves it means its not working, if the car starts and runs there is vacuum. Likely its not plugged in or not connected to the vacuum line.
Probably not, I'm answering so he doesn't need to.When you replaced the bearings and pistons did you have the block align bored and reassembled by the machine shop?
Let's assume so.were the heads torqued to specs with new gaskets and bolts?
Dam Bill!!!! You took a little to much pleasure in that me thinks....
