i just picked up these base model gp wheels off a guy on craigslist for $200 with 4 good tires im gonna be painting them white to match my gtp how do you guys think they will look white? i had the special edition wheels on here before these.:D

Interesting, GTP badges moved further back. I like it.

You could quite possibly pull off the white with those wheels.

white wheels on a white car look pretty good. I had white wheels on my white taurus and they looked pretty good

So i brought my rims to the shop today and cleaned them. Im gonna be buying the paint some time this week or next then im going to be spraying them. I wanted to do something a little custom im thinking about going oldskool on this one! A white rim with a thin black strip going around it to have my own style wheel here is a quick test to get an idea of how it will look. Its on the silver wheels still and im gonna center out the stripe better but like i said this is just a test to see how it will look. What ya think?

im kinda 'meh' on the striped wheels now that ive seen it a bunch of times. i think it takes away from the character of the wheel.

I've always dis liked these wheels because the spokes just seem too big IMO. I think if you painted the insides of the spokes and around that area it would make them seem thinner and give the wheels some depth that is lacks. Seen it done on other wheels and it really brings out a better overall look, why GM didn't do this is beyond me.
Just food for thought.

idk i just have a feeling if i paint the inside of the wheels black it will look to skinny, i just thought the stipe around the wheels will be a nice detail wont be to noticeable unless you look at the wheel. I just figured id do something custom, but thanks for the advice guys!

that stripe will make the wheels look smaller.

they look good enough for 200 with 4 new tires.. im not gonna go spend 600 on some aftermarket BS with no tires i have other projects this is my DD.

I dont think they are that bad of a wheel. Lookin forward to seeing them in white on ur car too.
