Debadging Scratches...

So i debadged my car today and all the adhesive is gone but the clear coat has all these little scratches. I was thinking buying Meguiar's Ultimate Compound to buff out the scratches. What do you guys recommend?

ok so do u have to keep reapplying the compound like after it rains or I wash my car?

Reapplying? No, the light wet sand is on the clear coat just enough to get rid of any discoloration or scratches from removal of the badges. Once I buffed it out, it was nice and shiny. I guess I could have waxed it, but it is still shiny now.

Okay. Thanks a bunch lol. After I debadged them I seen the scratches and I was like @%#&!! Lol

yeah, I thought the same thing till I did some reading on how to get rid of the scratches. I have pics of before and after in my progress link in my sig. 1st page, just scroll down till you see them.

What i used was some Mineral Spirits. I had some surface scratches after I debadged and rubbed and rubbed. Smooth as a babys butt and no more scratches. Mineral spirits "ate" away some of the clear, but very very little, and made it smooth. Then I buffed with Turtle wax polishing compound. Man does it shine.
