• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

BGPM 2008, Sept. 4th - 6th

NEXT YEARS BGPM 2009 WILL BE SEPT 10th - 12th 2009
Wish it was a weekend or two before Labor Day for all those in attending classes (summer semester already done, fall not started yet). I will let my wife know the dates now so she can start planning now for work. Not sure about her classes though. Most of my IT classes are offered online too and the teacher puts all work up, so I could get it to work out for that. Work is on my schedule for the most part so I can take the time.

Those of you that haven't been to BGPM, you will have a great time with really cool people! Those of you I won't be hanging out with this year, have a couple for me in the old man's lounge.:D

<<<<<<< this guy will be there. not sure if itll be in the GN for SURE, but it should be

i really need to change my forum name, lol

He is up in the air if he will race or not, just got some new axles to put in for some extra insurance :th_thumbsup-wink: It would be nice to click off a 10 second slip down there but who knows. The air quality was pretty poor last year and I still need to build a boost controller for it so we can burn the coals a little hotter :th_flamingdevil:

lmao at the smiley!!

bout had the wifes dads dually and trailer, but he has to be in florida on the 6th.... otherwise he said we could use it. booooooooooooooo00000

After some consideration on the dates, we will discuss at the event moving it to the weekend BEFORE Labor Day instead of the weekend after Labor Day. Based on the input of everyone at the event we will put the date out firm by then. This will also give me a chance to make sure the hotel and track are good with those dates.

I guarentee that the dates will be set by the end of September.

(the only reason I am thinking of changing the date is due to the guys and gals that have to go to school. It may be a little easier for people to get time off in August than in September.)

Let me know what you guys think.

It wasn't necessarily to see it race or anything more than just actually seeing the car run in person without 10,000 wires hanging all over the place. :th_laugh-lol3:

If it were moved to the weekend before labor day...I would have a 5 day weekend!!!!!

DO IT DO IT DO IT!!!!!!!!!

Brian if he drives the car down he can give you a ride and you will likely need to change your shorts! Sitting on the passanger side is one thing, DRIVING the car is a lot different and the feel is just incredible.

dont forget baby wipes....lol

man i'd love to attend something like this...give me a world of ideas to my GP...sounds fun with alil bottle in my hand and some of the sexiest W-bodys ever Re-Born... but some of us already took their vacation this year :\

Memorial Day through Labor day, its 7 days a week for me, don't even ask for time off cause you wont get it since this is our busy time of the year, every year. The times I can sneak away to go up north to help out or drop off parts/pick up parts to the KC area guys, I usually just sneak away, and pray the phone doesn't ring with a service call.

Before labor day...I'd be out for this event for sure.

That, and if its before...you have all the extra people to deal with in the city there for the arts and crafts stuff thats always going on. Seems to me, and others, that AFTER Labor day is when it starts to die down till winter, then they have one last big surge of old people for all the Christmas crap.

Seems like a good time of the year for me when and where we have it.

I have to deal with school too, not the easiest thing to work around, epically when you only have had a few classes so far in the semester, and your already telling your teacher/professor "Hey I'm going to be gone for a few days..."

But...I deal with it, and they have to too. :th_biggrin2:

just started class on thursday, and i let my teachers know the deal:D they werent too happy, but when i get my work done 3 days early and submit it, they cant complain;)

Same here, worked ahead myself. Though, they wanted me to hang onto it till I get back cause handing it in early, might throw them off they said.

Only thing that sucks, I will miss a physics lab, but I can make it up after a test...but sucks that I will have to do it by myself with out my lab partner. Only thing I am not looking forward to when I get back. :th_nervous:

Are you driving you LS1 S10 to the meet? If so i'd like to take a good look over it myself. I like that "newer" body syle and a thought of an LSX in it sounds pretty kick ass.....

Hey Chris not sure if I overlooked it or just cant find it but do you have a list of all the raffle items? A few guys were asking and couldnt find it either and I thought last year there was a list and havent seen one for this event. Thanks
