• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! BGPM 2008, Sept. 4th - 6th



haha that would be like like 10 hrs of driving....no thanks:p. i'm sure somebody from illinois going. i'll check out with the local gp club.
 
I think it was in the 45ish range, or at least that registered. Chris should be able to chime in and give an exact number.
 
I thought it was close to 50 last year. We still have 3 weeks to go, and some are probably going to do what I thought about doing, and that is just to show up and pay as I go. However, in a moment of weakness, I did the early registration.:D
 


The first year we did this, we had about 25 cars, and last year we had 41 registered at this time. This year we have 32 registered.

I think part of the reason for the lower numbers is due to gas prices, and people selling their GP's. I know there are quite a few guys that have there car on blocks (I know, I am one of them), so I will only have 2 cars at the event this year instead of 3.

We need your help in getting the word out to everyone about the event. If you have a great time at the event, talk it up on your local boards and lets get a huge turnout next year (by then maybe gas will be down below 3 bucks a gallon).

I thought about not going myself since Abby can't go now. Trying to find someone right now to car pool with me so i can have a little company on the road (Do tons of road trips daily alone for work, gets boring after awhile). I suppose i'll still be going. I need to cancel her out at least since shes for sure not in.

I don't get what the big deal is with gas prices? Ya they suck but if you need gas you need gas. Besides, these cars get damn good gas mileage as is, Its not like a TB SS or something like that. LOL.
 
If I go, it will be VERY last min. I booked my room though. They told me 48hr cancelation whatever. I'm trying to round up the funds. I had to get a job:( Been a housewife for so long, got a little spoiled. I work at Applebees:) Today was my first day.
If I get to go, I'll leave OK on Thursday sometime. When are you going Shawn? Maybe you can follow me;)

I planned on going with Abby on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning since I have to work Tuesday. I donno now. I still may head up there myself early and enjoy the sites all by myself. I planned on us doing some site seeing this year since I didn't last time I was out there (other than Ripleys), I donno if I will or not. I wanna see the Titanic thing for sure.

I'll let ya know, your not planning on going any earlier? (I know the job is probably holding ya back a little bit, hell i'm pissed I gotta work Tuesday!)

I'd love to convoy, can't seem to set anything up. Then again I donno if anyone wants to convoy with me, I was doing anywhere from 90-140 mph for awhile last time... LOL :-)
 
I can't take the kids out of school any earlier. We went to Ripleys one year. We liked it. Went to the wax museum a few weeks ago. Super Awesome!! I drove about 90 last year. Caught myself at 95 a few times. Too fast for me with the kiddos.
 


Glad to see Dannas back on the menu for Sat lunch! Chris not sure if I can change our registration or not since the original plans changed and maybe others will be in favor of this but last year we recieved a lunch voucher for eating at Dannas and could get what we wanted to IIRC and only 3 choices isnt going to be an some's favor (Jen) lol. Not a big deal to me as I love BBQ but she doesnt so much and really likes the burgers they have so that is what she is going to end up with one way or another. Also I am going to be throwing in a 3.29 7/8" single chain for the raffle. I mentioned this to you earlier in the year but not sure if we ever made notice of it being on the list to raffle or not, but it IS so that is one more thing you can add from us :th_thumbsup-wink:
 
Chris, looks like I will be out for this year.:( I still haven't cancelled my reservations, but not likely to change. Jessica just started a new job on Monday and won't be able to take off. Not to mention both of us are in school now (went back again this summer for me). With all of the developments this year $$$ is a bit short, but could still be worked out if scheduling worked.:th_angry-cussing:

I would like to donate our registration this year. A great event and charity and I still want to support it. Really will miss seeing everyone and their cars, as well as meeting new people.

Would it be possible to get my goody bag, shirts, etc. mailed to me? Do I still get the earlybird registration gift? I think I was the first one registered once it opened (other than you guys).:th_thumbsup-wink:

Dave, if I shoot you some money would you and Jen enter me in some raffles? I trust you.

I wish everyone a great time and safe trip!! Truly sucks. Would have had to take the Comp G or the 00 GTP I just bought cheap (light damage, replacing Comp G upon turn in for DD) or the Regal GS I'm selling too, I guess, since my 99 LOWLYFE build won't be near finished by then.

Hopefully I'll get to see some of you over the next year before BGPM09.

No problem Jason, we can throw in some tickets for you. Sux that you cant make it but I know you guys have a lot going on, just bad timing for everything to hit!
