Just a Topaz Gold Metallic GTP

Re: Just a Topaz Gold Metalic GTP

Other than rain today, it was a good day cause I got a part in the mail. I sent my Driver Info Center to triebenbach07 , he did his magic on it and boom, blue LED backlit display. I am very stoked about having the blue LED display, it looks awesome. The turn around time was fast, very cool cat to deal with and fair priced. He saved me from having to spend a lot on a used part that might have gone bad in the future. Here is the link to his services http://www.grandprixforums.net/led-interior-switches-get-your-order-59656.html

Now for the pics

My SES is on also..... Tends to do that with the EGR welded shut.... BTW nice cellphone/stereo setup.. Almost the exact same thing I did... But I have a JVC deck and put my Iphone in the holder attached to the window on the left side of the HUD.

Re: Just a Topaz Gold Metalic GTP

What code does it have? Mine is on all the time because i have no cat.

P0102 and P1676 (pd) I have a new MAF ($130) from Advance. The other I'm not sure. The PO put close to $800 of sensors on this ride when I got it. The car runs good so until I figure it out F it.

Re: Just a Topaz Gold Metalic GTP

I had a 102 code for a while first the fuse was blown because i burned some wiring on my headers then a few months later my maf was bad.

I'm fine with the way it runs(which is good). I have a love/hate relationship for this car. It's nice, fast enough, great stereo, but if it dies then oh well throw it in the gutter and go find another.

Hello yall, did a lot today including washing the ride and applying this stuff I got from Advance Auto Parts. It's called Black Tire Coat from Turtle Wax. Apparently you put this chit on and your tires stay shinny for 3-4 months. I figure since the parts store gives me Military discount I would go ahead and buy it, since it was only $12. It's kinda cool, shinny as f**K though and I will see if it last 3-4 months. Here are the before and after shots. Oh and this chit is dry to the touch LOL which I think is freaky.

Hey Bluemagic, so far I'm impressed with this Black Tire Coat stuff. It rained the last couple of days and the car got nasty along with the tires. I washed it last night, it was getting dark as I was drying the car and wiping the water off the tires. This morning I went outside to look at the tires and they look as shinny as they did two days ago. I will keep tabs on the 3-4 month shine they promote.

Inlays look great! Clean tips look good too!! Looks like you might need a new exhaust hanger or two a little further under the car.

Thanks also, the PO must have hit something on the left muffler. I tried to bend it back up, it would not budge so that's when I painted it with the bbq paint. I riding on this crappy exhaust till I get the funds to do new exhaust from the headers back.

Re: Just a Topaz Gold Metalic GTP

Thanks Eddie, in two weeks when I get to go home I will re clean them. All this driving from Ft. Polk, Louisiana to Ft.Hood, TX has them looking like sh1t again.

Re: Just a Topaz Gold Metalic GTP

well as long as you keep up on keeping them clean every time you shine them up it should be easier :th_thumbsup-wink:
