Can't break free front axle nut.

Thanks guys for all the suggestions!!

Tire wear appears to be normal. I just recently rotated the tires with little to no difference in the "hum". I was thinking that if i had an out of balance wheel it would rule that out. I did find the fronts both down in tire pressure but that made little to no difference either. The tires do seem to have a little dry rot.

It could be my imagination but the sound seems louder now that I have the tires at the correct pressure? Anxious to get it up on jack stands and run it.

Once the whole front end was up on jacks it was obvious that the sound was coming from the passenger side. I had the wheel bearing off in about 15 minutes.....100X easier than the driver side....no need for the cheater. Wheel bearing is obviously bad. It grinds when you rotate it. On my way to pick another up. Can't wait to drive the car ....and not hear that hum.

glad to hear you figured out your problem. I recenly change both front bearings to figure out the axel joint had gone to hell

Woohoo, passenger side is in and car is pretty quiet now!! It was pretty easy to see pulling it out that it was bad. Did the tie rods too and getting the front aligned in the morning!

get them tie rods greased, or they will be dead real soon. that nipple is a grease fitting, dont drive to long with out grease, if you have greased them, disregard this lol

lol uh ohs. i never did grease mine when i put them on. but they come pre-greased i believe, at the least the moog ones i ordered. i was going to re-grease them later..hope i didn't kill em

not to thread jack sowwies

i never heard of pre greased parts, they may have some grease in them, but not enough. get a pumping on that grease gun son...

these fools at my job have no idea what grease is for, i keep telling them, grease is free compared to a new font end,,,again.

well when I installed them it had grease to the top of the grease fitting insert. it was blueish lookin grease. so yeah I think it came pre-greased ya know.

you'll get 3 to 5 full pumps into them tie rods. i bet water drips out too.

who buys new parts with out grease fittings? not me. factory crap may be that way, but it will never get replaced with out a grease fitting unless its unavoidable.

they sell the minis, for like 10 bucks, comes with a small tube of grease, it will get it done on the cheap. not much you can make to grease it. unless you try to ask a garage if you can borrow their gun for a minute, you'll find out witch shop is your friend that way lol

even the full size guns are 20 bucks or so, grease tubes cost anywhere from 3 to 8 bucks, depends on what kind of grease you want to use.

i like the guns with a rubber tube on it vs the metal tube. the rubber tube makes it easier to get to weird angled zerks and tight spaces where the end of the gun cant fit. worked well on my trucks, had lots of grease fittings on the front end. like 8 i think.

the small guns come with a tube or 2 of grease in it. i saw one last time i picked up grease. so cute lol
