cv joints can click when turning or vibrate on the highway when bad.
Good because things get expensive quick whew...lol My tax return will be gone by he time im done.oh and should you buy from that site, google partsgeek promo codes, the more you can buy at once aka the more you spend you can find a nice discount on top of their already lower than the auto parts store price. auto zone wants like 65 or 70 per lca, screw that ill wait for the shipping lol and my order came in less then a week.
Well i will definitely check out that site. Thanks so much for the ideas and quick responses. Google wasn't cutting it because i couldnt find much specifically for Grand Prix's...by all means do shop around, but over and over when i search a part, these guys have better prices and better shipping rates.
No it wasnt, this is a whole new noise and by the way, when i turn right it does seem to get louder.Sounds like a wheel bearing to me. Does it get louder or quieter when you turn?
If it gets louder when you turn right its the left wheel bearing. If it gets louder when you turn left its the right wheel bearing. Most likely one of the front ones.
Other than that, maybe a halfshaft?
Edit: I didn't read your other thread, not sure if this was already discussed.
I have been thinking about that all this time actually.Sounds like wheel bearings I'd just change both of them if i was you.
Im not actually quite sure. I went and bought brakes, went to a garage and took off the left front tire and took out my brake pads and seen that my brakes are fine. I then put the tire back on, tightened the lug nuts and shook the tire to check for bad bearings, there was no play. I then spun the tire and didnt hear what i hear driving. Then i proceeded to the right front tire, did the same exact things to the right as i did with the left but then i noticed i had no sway bar. My dad freaked and was like "whaaaat the f...". Told me that i need to get that replaced. An kinda explained that the noise i was hearing was most likely coming from that tire because he took a ride with me and said that it seemed louder from that tire.Ever solve this sound problem Adidasdude1989? I've got one very similar. I replaced the front left wheel bearing because thats where is seemed loudest....with no change. Mine doesn't seem to change much when turning, just gets louder with speed. It sounds like the loud hum that i had from snow tires on my first car. No vibrations or any other noises on mine.
