• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

some of you may already know me

been learking for almost 2 years mostly becuase i forgot my log in lol i am known on other forums for my compleat lack of luck when it comes to the GM w-body

my first w-body was a 2001 GT coupe that was cammed topped swapped and caught fire

second was a 2000 GTX sedan that literlay rusted inhalf and took the shape as a banana. most of the SLP specific parts where removed beofre i even bought the car do to a front end colition destroying the hood in 2007

a 1995 Cutlass supream series IV sl 1 of 1400 series IV sedans built do to the plant change over in 95 scrapped do to lack of space and rear frame rails car was perfectly fixable but after the cam broke in the engine could not make a profit on it

and my current one is a 1999 GTP coupe with varry little rear strut towers and rockers. and has a top swapped engine that seems to have been int eh car sense 2005 do to a repare shop being cheap and not even informing the previuse owners lol

other cars arwa 1992 chrysler convertible with a mitsubishy 3.0L v6 that si getting a turbo and 3 speed auto from a 89 caravan

1989 caravan that is spare parts for the lebaron (yay chrysler K-car enginering!!) giving up it;s heavy dudty a670 3 speed that is based off of the turbo cars 3 speed witht eh beefier planitary and larger cluch packs

1997 Grand Marquise that si a retired under cove rpolice cuiser that was special ordered with the P71 crown vic suspention, cooling, trans, and breaks officaly never existed according to ford but i have seen at least 3 others

'Sup Mater, I've seen you on GPONA

Interesting collection of cars.

Curious, so you say someone brought in a Grand prix and the shop top swapped it not realizing it? or they didn't know what they had?

A belated welcome to you sir!

yup the shop just bought a 3800 from a impala and swapped over the heads and intake not relising the diffrence in compretion

so the gtp was top swapped to NA?

i guess a better word would of been a bottem swap. it has a L36 lower with the stock L67 upper that's it lol stock every thing else been this way for 7 years

it's the equivalant of runnig a 3.4 pulley with nothing else how they use to be modded back in 97-98 lol

car had 3* of KR 11.5psi of boost... yeah there is basicly no timing haha

i have bent the boost py-pass valve arm to limit boost to around 7psi basicly it stays slightly open all the time and now only has .5kr and is quite a bit faster

if i was going to keep the car for more then just winter destruction i might of put on a set of headers or got a 4" pulley

I found headers worked well for a stock pulley with that combination.

Bent pin sure seems like a cheaper solution though.

and for a car that has 1 or 2 years max left in it seems the better route. i have a betting pool on wether the sub frame will rip out or the struts will bust through the trunk first. only 3 bolts in the subframe are threaded to any thing lol

plus i am getting a minimum rust 1997 Grand Prix GT with a L67 and 4t65e swap done to it using an engine bay harness froma 97 GTP

here is the rust
