Finally got around to washing the car today (weather was finally nice) and because I've yet to post any pics of the car I grabbed the camera and got some shots.

As you hopefully picked up by the title its a '98 GT and as of today it's got 158,347 on the odometer. Still runs like a champ and looks fairly good once you wash all the dirt and burnt rubber (I wish!) off of it.

Re: 98L36's '98 L36!!

Status Update: :p

Original engine spun 2 rod bearings on April 15th, 2012 with 163,546.4 miles on the OD. Bottom end of the engine was trashed, it became obvious that a new engine was in order. Sucked at first, but eventually found another L36 out of an 02 GT Coupe that had 104K on it. Car was hit in the rear, but front end and engine were untouched. Got the new engine home and tore it apart to check a few things, swap some parts over, and to replace a few others. Had it in and running again a few days later.

Got a new (non-leaking) AC compressor from the same car too, finally have cold air blowing in the Prix again. :)

Got a new radiator installed on the weekend of July 7th/8th, 2012 after the original sprung a leak by the return inlet.

Finished custom install of Autopia LED-ringed fog housings and Diode Dynamics 4300k H3C HID kit on the weekend of July 21st/22nd, 2012. (May post pictures later)

So...
After around 3 months and way more money that I thought I'd have to spend, it now runs and looks better than ever! :)

The next planned mod is going to be installing my mudflaps that have been sitting in my trunk since December, hopefully they will be installed for Norwalk. ;) Then it's time to get rid of my roof rails and see what else I can come up with mod-wise. :) Perhaps I'll finally get going on my heated seat swap that I've had in mind for a while.

Get rid of roof rails you say? Hmmmm

Yep, that's what I say. :p They are white, or what I call a pearl white. The paint changes color just a bit in the sunlight, I believe they call that a pearl white. Paint looks to be original, but I'm just puzzled because I've never seen a factory pearl white set. I don't have any picturz taken yet, but I can get some if interested. Either that or you can see them in person at Norwalk.
They have 1434-0016-01A RH and 1434-0016-01A LH on them, on the right and left one respectively. I assume those are part numbers.

Heated seat swap... to what?

Haha my bad, I meant putting a heated seat in my car. Leather seats are quite cold during the dead of winter. :(
