Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Re: Norwalk Ohio 2012 Planning comittee

if it happens anytime in june i cant go. im getting married in june and it would be very asshole of me to leave for a long weekend when: a) i should be taking care of last minute details, or b) be on a honeymoon.

Re: Norwalk Ohio 2012 Planning comittee

Like I said over the weekend, I'd be down for Ohio. Anyone that does complain just doesn't need to post to keep it clean. Thought process behind that being is if your just gonna gripe then lets see YOU take the time to set up something...oh...your not? Point proven.

751 mi, 12 hours 51 mins I-70 E...says google.

Hopefully I'll be in a quiet car this time...so it wouldn't be too bad at all IMO. Set the cruise control, roll on out. Consider us in. And by us I mean Kim, me, Aaron, and b1tchy nancy assed Rynoman.

Just for the record, I did not make the first post...

Just for the record, I'll delete all the priors. That way everyone looks at you funny when everything goes wrong.

haha taz did, its on him

WE HAVE A WINNNNNeerrrrr.

none of you know where i live or where it will be. it's going to stay that way.

Oh...I got my wayz, bro.

Re: Norwalk Ohio 2012 Planning comittee

well i didnt know since it changes all the time

edit- googled it and its 494 mi, 8 hours 30 mins
instead of the 19 to kc or 17 to Iowa

Re: Norwalk Ohio 2012 Planning comittee

Like Nick said...this thread isn't going to get to 90+ pages of worthlessness this time.

Keep it on track or post deleted.

Re: Norwalk Ohio 2012 Planning comittee

Summit owns the dragstrip in Norwalk right? Summit Motorsports Park?

So... Why don't we see if they want to do a group rate/ sponsorship. They may even have a local hotel they do business with (possible discount that way) and some other things they could help with.

Nominating a committee to set things up sounds like a hassle. Let everyone have a say, then the locals can take things in to account and guide the direction they need to go.

If donations towards the event are involved, see if there's a night we can rent the track, that would be a GREAT use of donated funds. Even if its a Thursday... Its summer, I'm sure people can make it work somehow.

Is that on topic enough Nick or should I have just post that the dragstrip is 766 miles / 12 hours 38 minutes from my door?

Nope, thanks for taking some time to post something constructive!

Re: Norwalk Ohio 2012 Planning comittee

there would be a group rate for the hotels if theres a big event at the park. we just need to watch for a deadline to get the rate

Re: Norwalk Ohio 2012 Planning comittee

I'd say we get this big enough we could probably (A. get some sponsors to make cool banners/posters/t-shirts and possibly get some freebie type products/cool things (B. get some kind of group rate/discount due to the number of people and publicity (assuming there is some) and (C. have one h311 of a time!
I don't know exactly how far it is from my door hours/minutes wise, but I'd so freaking be there.....just sayin.

I'm pretty clueless as far as what needs done and whatnot, but if someone gives me something that a 16yo can do I'll be glad to give it my best shot.

-Edit-
Ok, had to look it up on google maps and it's either 92.2mi and 1hr 57min OR 87.8mi and 1hr 59min depending on which route I'd take. Definitely would be going either way.
