Ford probe GT stalling out after a couple miles

Gave my 1996 Ford Probe GT (203,000 miles currently) to my girlfriend, she is saying that after driving it a few miles and after the engine heats up some that the car will stall out, high revs when at stop lights and then when stepping on gas will sputter awhile and then actually stalls sometimes. She can then however reset the car and then drive another couple of miles or so to get home.

Anyone know whats up with this, its seems like something is getting hot, radiator and coolant level seem to be fine.

Oh them mazdas. Do a coolant flush, maybe t-stat isnt working?

If it has cop it could be the coils going bad i had that happen on my sho

ok, the car one day just died in the road, a wire had come off one of the spark plugs, my girlfriend called her brother in law who is a auto mechanic and he found it right away and she was on her way.

Will bring up the coil issue to him and see what he says, might be a week or two before he gets to it though because right now he is trying to fix up his previous house so he can sell it.
