My wife's Cruze vs. lola's G5 (video)

Short story, we all went to Buffalo Wild Wings. Had to make a pit stop back at Nick's place. He had Kim grab the G5. Shennanigans ensued. We had four people in the Cruze, the G5 had just Nick and Kim. The Cruze is also bone stock and the G5 has catback and modded air box. The only race i'll post is the dig race. The roll was a good race but my brother's retarded wife muddied up the video with her screaming. Nick has videos as well, hopefully he'll put the roll race up. Anyway

The best part, which neither of us filmed, was the three wide stoplight race we had with a mom and daughter in a Plymouth Voyager. We were behind a van and the G5 made it to the light on the left of the van. I told my wife to take the next lane right the van. So here we are straddling the van inching up past it's nose to see eachother at the red light and I look over and see the daughter laughing in the passenger seat. The mom in the van rolls her window down and Nick tells her what's up. The van inches it's nose up to ours even and we all hammered it on green. It was hysterical. A mom in a van actually raced us. Wish we had the video...

Rematch is set for KCIR at the KC meet. No more extra weight weighing down the cars, especially the Cruze. That thing can't afford the weight lol.

what you didnt factor in to this equation is that G5 is RACEsoaked. yeah racesoaked. its kinda like heat soak, but moar epic. you see, when that ordinary n/a spends extended periods of time near the paperweight. it gets saturated with the spirit of racecar. you didnt stand a chance quite frankly.

The Cruze didn't stand a chance with weight soak lol. I bet our car weighed close to 4000 lb. Me and my brother weigh around 225 a piece plus both of our women. Adding 700 lb of weight in a Cruze makes it fail. I still believe I'd lose though. Just saying maybe not as bad. The G5 factory quarter is like 15.7 and Cruze is mid 16s.

It was only down a fender. A car maybe at the end. Katey didn't want to speed so she let out at like 45. Still, it needs mods... Tis 138 Hp and 138 ft lb tq slowness.

If you leave the cruze in D and only apply the brakes the transmission will shift into N and when you hit the gas you will have a second or 2 and then it will go. Have to love being able to do a N drop that was designed that way.

I'm not saying I didn't get walked, but factor in the near 1000 lb weight difference and power output of the Cruze compared to the G5 it wasn't really a competition to begin with lol.
