you talking about the shorter dog bones? i actually have a set here i got for free but im thinking of selling them. ive been told that the motor mount spacers are a more proper way to do it, so thats what im going to do. thanks though man.

... and odi, is this approval i hear... wierd. lol

These do the same thing as shorter dogbones. In the poly mount instead of the mounting hole being in the center of the bushing it's located farther forward when mounted. I'm only running them because they came with my setup when I bought it. I haven't had any issues with them. With poly mounts the car is much more responsive power wise putting it to the ground, you'll love it.

ive never heard of the offset mounts, thats pretty cool. plus with the holes further forward its putting a larger mass of the poly where its needed.

Scott.. are you sure you want a ton of vibration at idle. You are going to have a ton with poly lower mounts and poly uppers. With new factory original lower mounts and poly dogbones and poly front upper mounts I had too much vibration for my liking. Swapped back to regular dogbones and it's manageable.

yeah matt said it wouldnt be ideal for a daily. im thinking ill do solid lower and trans with poly dogbones. i dont mind a bit of shaking as long as i know its healthy i think ill be fine.

so what do think bill? a days work?

Bars, struts, and mounts. Yeah.. It's a start in the morning and still make it around the corner to Sears for an alignment situation.

sounds good bill. i might grab a rear stb to go with the front i have, but those wont add much time to it. you havent noticed any other parts wearing under there have you? aside from that axle

Control arms tend to get a little worn on the bushings. The way to do them is to replace the arm.

I have two piece ZZP's that are god knows how old...

No. The material closest to the neutral axis (middle) does virtually nothing for the bending and torsion loads. The reason you notice a difference with aftermarket bars is their increased diameter. So the best sway bar (i.e. best use of material) is a hollow one with a large diameter.

You sure?

I've seen countless articles suggest otherwise.

But suggest hollow over solid due to unsprung weight. (not a concern in a W body, no one cares about control arm angles :D)

Solid would be beneficial in compression and tension, which I do NOT believe sway bars greatly experience.

Take a 35mm hollow, with ohhh, maybe 1/4 of diameter wall thickness, and compare to a 35mm solid. The difference would be negligable.

Torsion and bending: Consider the angular displacement. The interior has to move very little for a very large deformation at the perimeter.

Probably a bit.

Just saying its very inefficient use of material, that's all.

AFAIK only solid is what the aftermarket makes so there isn't much option.
