I have no EGR and no Rear o2 sensor setup, I do have a Cat though. But I just passed NYS inspection, so those that are asking. Yes you can.

Way to go Dave.. :th_nanana: :th_peaceout: I'm out before retrobution happens.

ha. i had the same problem 2 weeks ago. went to Jiffy Lube b/c was convenient, however have never been there. 1st they told me something about my 10,000K HIDS. b/c they are blue but he didnt make a big deal out of it..then they turn the car on and he is like, " OH!" and then gets under the damn port to listen to the engine under my vehicle...i was like damn b/c i know i got an exhaust manifold leak. not too bad but he noticed and refused to pass me. Luckily, he didnt charge me. So, I took my vehicle to the same place as last year and they went to pass with no problems until he checks my wiper blades....they werent even that bad but they werent going to pass me and were going to charge me! screw that..had to shell out $16 for some wipers that he had for sale...not to bad i guess...better than losing out $15 bucks for inspection. :th_sick1:

Dear State of Florida,

Thank you for having no emissions or detailed road standards, save for a vehicle VIN check.

Very nice. I passed my last "inspection" with no cat & exhaust. We will see how she does next time with the cam, quieter exhaust, no egr or cat.

You more than likely passed cause the Inspector was either too lazy or didn't care to look for the EGR. Because your PCM probably told the States computer it was there since I assume you have the PCM programmed To delete the EGR code. :)

So in other words congratulations for finding an inspector that isn't doing their job. Now post up their name and location so everyone knows who to go to. ;)

I passed my test...

$236 for the cat.

$96 for the install.

$40 for the test.

EGR plugged in, breather still in place.

well every county in ga ive lived in havent had an inspection.. maybe its just the atlanta metro area

The inspections are emissions driven. Doesn't check for bad wipers or anything non emissions related. I don't mind it because with all of the traffic the air quality would be horrible. Atlanta doesn't have expressways, it has oddly shaped parking lots.

yeah i wish they didnt have inspections here but i guess they are necessary to a certain extent. now i go have to fix that damn exhaust leak b/c i may not get that lucky next time.
