Why is there no mention of you trying to start it up yet?

And you got a sealed battery I hope? Otherwise you've now trapped hydrogen gas given off by the battery when the alt charges it inside your trunk... Just think Hindenburg!
sealed?
those are 150+ dollar batterys... the trunk has a vent in it... I gutted it I'll get a pic and show you it's the size of my head...Yes, anytime a battery is installed inside the passenger compartment (which includes the trunk), the batter either needs to be sealed or vented to the outside air. There are fumes that come off the battery, as stated, that can be quite hazardous.
The most common would be Optima Red or Yellow Top.

Is that "vent" directly under the 3rd brake light?
If it is, imagine the scenario that you are driving around on a hot summer day, windows up, ac on... it vents thru this vent, into the cabin with you, no way out as AC is just circulating the air around and the harmful vapors... yea just make sure its vented OUT of the CAR, not just the trunk into the cabin area with you
no thats on the right hand corner of the car right under the right side tail light.
and after watching that video... I don't even want to start my car... and wth are we still making batterys this way lol
