• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Crazy Taz and his wire tuck.

so stickers...need to go then.. I pulled off the front engine lift point today that made a pretty big diffrence in the look up front... If I rip out the erg do I need to have stuff changed on the pcm?

Need? No. But it will throw a code, which can be tuned out.

ahh I'll do that later then. Is it bad that I'm not expecting my car to start and or run properly when I go to sstart it tonight or tomorrow? lol

if you remove the egr you will need the code deleted, but if you are tops swapping, i think i read that, you will need a tune anyways.

so i vote for leave it till you top swap and remove the egr from the top swap. that way you only need to play or pay to play with your pcm one time.

i bet it fires right up, all you did was cut every wire on the left side of the engine bay and stretch it 6 feet. lol

im sure you will be ok, hope so anyways.

I do too because I'm going to lake cumberland possible as soon as tomorrow night... so yea... that and I haven't driven it in a week... havent driven it hard in like 2 months and I wana stop by the local vw cookout or w/e they call it... "all the guys in there jettas and what not lol" and just wait for one of them to start talking trash

Look at them pics again and go through that album for the other pics, anyone saying it WASN'T electrical is full of sh1t!!! That including the local Fire Marshall that wanted to blame it on a transmission line. Its pretty easy to see the most of the damage and the hottest part was around the fuse box and battery area on the passenger side strut tower. Eh but then again as I've argued before what the hell do I know I only work on electronics for a damn living!!!!!!

did you ever look for a broken trans line? because the front pass side defiantly was the hot spot in that fire, but then again the trans lines go into the radiator there as well, and im sure the sides of the rad were melted away where the line would have gone into it.

still sucks no matter how you slice it.

And you got a sealed battery I hope? Otherwise you've now trapped hydrogen gas given off by the battery when the alt charges it inside your trunk... Just think Hindenburg!
