Very interesting however there's to many variables to test in a "Real World Condition" imo...

These are real conditions however different projectors, different shrouds, different capsules will change the temperatures and so forth. The effort and research is there but how often do people sit stationary with their HID's on. It's a stationary only test and a very good one at that. Once you're moving your tests are out the window. I've said it a million times I've read countless threads of stock fog housings melting and more often than not it's a ddm or vvme bulb in there. Good sh*t tho...:D
 




do you do anything to the lenses you recieve if they look hazy? if so what? the couple i have arent horrible but they could use some work

Sorry I don't do anything to the lenses. Actually all the lenses I've delt with are new or unscratched. I don't recommend doing a retro on worn headlight capsules period. The lense not being clear or scratch free will distort cutoff, clarity, and light output.

He never stated he could'nt,what he stated pointed to the fact that he does'nt own an 04+ to test fit and aim them.

Now if someone local to him could step up and let this man use their car as a test mule,i'm sure it'd be benificial(sp?!) to the 04+ members.:)

Not trying to speak for him at all. Just a new possible option for him.

My neighbor has an 05 :D but he's kinda wierd about his car so who knows;)
 
I think the 04+ headlights look tons better to start out with I just like how they look like their really part of the car and don't have spaces and gaps all around them. It's werid the grand ams lights looked nicer to wtf was the deal when they designed the headlights for 97-03 grand prixs Oh well...

Clean good job on those lights those they look nice a lot better than stockers

It really not difficult just takes patience. word of advice though if clean does borrow his neighbors car...your going to need it all the time the way the 04 headlights are designed the projector won't fit right in there even when you dremel/cut it out so ever time you have to mount them will need to be on the car with the cutout correct. Just a heads up been working on mine and i've been putting in quiet some time.

Yeah I know how to do the 04's but I hate to break it to everyone but I'm out of doing retro's for people. It's 2 bad a few select group of people on here has to haggle me about me pricing. I think it went something like this "I'm raping peoples wallets". It's not worth my time and effort to do the retrofits for people. I was a vendor but I'm having that status removed, I shouldn't be disrespected and questioned about my pricing. My pricing is my pricing, said it a thousand times if you don't like my pricing I will walk you thru how to do the retrofits so you can save yourself money.

Why anyone would think someone would go thru the process of spending 3-6 days on each set 5-7 hrs per day for $100 bucks is besides me. Then you have guys recommending ebay projector lights over retro's :th_laugh-lol3:, I just can't take it anymore. No other vendor on here is disrespected more than I, just saying.

Someone on GPONA had a "pro" do it over on hidplanet for his 04+. He ended up spending upwards of $1,000 to get it done. They came out nice, don't get me wrong, but not $1,000 nice. So I think your prices were reasonable for the time spent doing these.

There was someone else, also on GPONA, who advertised that he could do it for the 04+ GP's. He was cheap. Like $150 for labor and you provide the parts. Needless to say the projectors were crooked. The headlights weren't sealed right. The shroud was held on with some crappy glue that was visible for one thing, and fell off shortly after. It looked like the reflector was painted with a crayon. It was bad.

At first when you starting offering the service I thought to myself..man those prices are high..until I started mine and now I understand how much time this little boogers are and wouldn't hesitate to pay your price. I put in some hours on mine and still not done and looking to add more to it lol.

Yea I remember seeing those months ago..forgot the link though put paying a $1k for retro for a gp is crazy maybe if it was a lambo or something. I rather spend the money on parts and do it myself and save myself at last $600. just my opinion

Oh yea clean let those guys buy those ebay projectors.. yea they do look good but output sucks.
