well im always up to take some heat..i love my projectors and think the output is great...yes they bounce but so do my gf boobies and i love them too. sticking with mine but everyone has their own taste. but to be honest i may or may not be bias since i was once raped by a pair of oem headlights and i still get nightmares from the experience.
 


Well I will be the first to admit how fail these pics are, I greatly underestimated how hard it was to take pics at night especially on a 5mp phone camera. No fogs, highs or any other light on the street at all. Both pics taken with Gen I Spyder projectors with 4000k 35 watt hid's on a brick wall. I will try this again tomorrow and/or take a video if needed. These pics do no justice at all but here they are.

Yes, but I'm afraid I'd have to read first.

And that is beyond my abilities at the moment.

Just going from the picture on this page, projectors are supposed to put out a very wide beam.

Yours looks comparable to stock spread.

Of course its all in how you setup the camera though :p
 


i guess ill just state my opinion. who cares about projectors or hids for that matter? people have gona without em for over 50 years. yes they have an amazing light output but they are also expensive. all im saying is i have a ****ty foggy old pair of stockers with those stupid cool blue type halogens and also have a pair of black outs. i have almost 3.2% light output...lol. i also have a ****ty set of 55w fogs with the xenon bulbs. considering my set up i dont complain because it provides enough light for me. im not sayin its a bad idea to spends a couple hundred on hids and projectors im sayin as for me is not a sound investment. of course some people have lazy eye and need a pair of mini suns in fron of their car.:th_thumbsup-wink:
 
id say wether or not theyre worth it depends on where you drive....if all you do is in town driving then ya i wouldnt complain a bit...but i do a decent bit of highway/interstate driving so stockers just dont cut it for me.
 
I coulda sworn this was closed earlier today no? But I agree If I had time/money Id get new headlights stock ones arnt great

Your stock headlights are pretty decent compared to the 97-03 cars. The problem with the projectors is the bad "Z" beam cutoff...that sucks, that they have to be modded to not bounce, they aren't brighter than stock housings that are clean with HID's, With their one piece design they tend to leave gaps where the factory lights took up space...and it looks tacky to me. I've seen at least half a dozen GENERATION ONE projectors...even the original Spyder Auto $300+ ones when they first came out that all fogged up and leaked. I'm saying FROM personal experience...I've been there...seen it...I have them...they aren't great. Do they work? Sure. Are they better than stock? Meh...it's a tossup. FOR THE MONEY...I was not impressed as I bought them when they first came out I also went through your posts footballplaya3k...and I found ONE post, which someone hasked to buy projectors and I posted "NO"...and you quoted me and said "Why not"...and I never replied. Sounds like a solid debate to me. Out of all your three hundred whatever where you claimed we argued about this...and we never have...so, why all the accusations? I never called you out...nothing ever happened. So, if I missed something feel free to point it out.

My suggestion at this point............ Quit bashing Blue, you started this whole mess and you know it! Simply state your problem and hopefully someone will help you. If that does not work for you? Sorry.

And if this is considered more bashing? I really dont know what to tell ya man.......Except maybe have some thicker skin when someone corrects you on your spelling?

I hope all of this wasnt directed to me. This was my first post in this thread. I have no opinion on the projector thing considering I have never experienced any of this with it.

Ahh alright. Well my feeling on posting anything in a forum is your going to get opinions for and against anything you have to say. If you dont want to know other peoples opinions dont post it. That being said it is the internet....

LOL so mispelling 1 word 1 time means I have poor spelling skills? Whatever you say buddy.

It's obvious no one cares what I have to say so why am i even trying? Blue is one of the most respected ppl on here, so when i disagree with him who cares i just become a tool, so there is no point in going on with this. I know the projectors i have been trying to say are much better than stock, especially with hid's, and are not even comparable and i know there are others that agree with me but why would they when its gpf vs me in this thread.

Blue, I am sorry you had a bad experience with these projectors. Idk if you just got a sh!tty set or what but from my experience I have had polar opposite results.

Hey Football,

Thanks for the reply. People actually do care, but you when come out saying someone is a lair and throwing around other accusations, it puts everyone on the defensive. So it makes it harder for everyone to communicate.

I hope you get your question answered, I will certainly not put in my 2 cents for the simple fact I never owned projectors. I can talk about HIDs in stock lamp housings for GPs though :D
