Bent rim

Im asking because a friend of mine slid out and hit a curb in the snow this morning. If he slid and hit a cub, bent the rim, and it shakes about 60, does he need a new rim and get an alignment, does he just need a new rim?

I don't see why not, my 18's have a slight bend in them. I've never had a problem with it.

The same thing happen to me. except the shaking came from the belt in the tire
replace the tire went for a test drive and didn't need a alignment, all was good.

i bent my rim a couple of weeks ago, and went back to the shop i bought them at, and he said it was a machinist in town that could fix it. i took it to him and 4 days later it was fixed. I has 20in rim that was bent to wear air was leaking out. It good now, i think i need it balanced again tho, i can feel a very slight vibration in the car, or it might jus be the road, my thin tires make the smalles crack feel like a ditch, lol
.
i said all that to show that they can be fixed, you'll have to search around your town.
