No exaggeration. I honestly sat there the whole time and died roughly about 50 times. As I said, hardest part of the game. And the way it's set up, you basically reload and have to act fast because you're already in the middle of the open...
 
SOOO Pissed!!! got black ops today, put it in the ps3, as soon as it started loading, the ps3 shut down... WTF??? Come to find out, it's the dreaded YLOD... So now, broken ps3 and my new $60 game is stuck inside the damn thing... the ps3 is an 80 gig launch system, so I guess I've got my use out fo it, but, WHY NOW!!!!???
 
Look this up online, I know the 360 has it, it'd venture to guess the ps3 might. For 360, there is a secret little hole behind the face plate that will manually pop out the CD drive.
 
Buddy... 80 gigs were not launch models.

60's and 20's were.

I know... because I was there.

Bought a 60 day one.

Died after 2 years.

Now on the second one.

My buddy still has his launch 60 gb. Runs fine.
 


Damn, it is a 60, don't know what I was thinking... but, anywho, I will look to see if I can get the disk out, thanks for the info, found a company online that says they can more than likely fix it. They say that normally the solder heats up and releases off of the gpu, so now, I have to decide if I wanna to that or just fork out 300 for a new one...

because PS3 sucks ass and is for homo's.
 


this CoD is alright its pretty typical Treyarch, maps are all setup for camping. I do like the gun customizations and that i dont have to lvl my guns and I can just buy the accessories i need.

already have 3 days of time on the game, 2nd prestige, 1.50 KD.
 
PS2 was alright. PS3 was for super fanboys.
Xbox's only real problem was the whole failure rate thing, otherwise it probably doesn't make a huge difference. People try to say PS3 has better graphics, they're the same, sometimes better on the 360, sometimes.
To each his own.

From what I hear from people that have played on both consoles, it plays better on the 360, but the server problems are lesser on the PS3 at the moment.
And PC is just full of hackers.

Some truth to that. What's totally annoying is it seems people are far more interested in cheating, breaking stuff and generally being a fun sucker then just helping to make things better and more fun. :th_angry-teeth:

Really, CoD wouldn't have even made it this far if it wasn't for the mods and custom maps extending the games life/play in the earlier days. I've had fun and made friends customizing these things over the years.
 
One thing I like to do that I hear PC has the most hackers on is wager matches. Not bout to "wager" my points against unbeatable odds.
 


I thought the wager mode was going to be cooler then it is, it's pretty lame. You should be able to face off 1v1 or team vs team for money.

IMO both consoles are pretty ****ty.

They really shouldnt have half the failure rates that they do.

360 has better graphics for basically every multiplatform game... Most of it is just the extra contrast. If you have a good monitor you'll appreciate it, if you're running a cheap LCD all you'll see is crushed blacks.

The other bit is the textures... Always seem to be slightly higher rez.....

PS3 isn't a good platform for games at all, it has too many cores that can't do enough. Works well as a BD player though. :rolleyes:
 
and the humiliation thing is bs on stick n stones..the hatchet is easy to use.
i was in first with 2 seconds left, i got hit with one and lost 10k, same thing again but less money

did anyone ever play global thermonuclear war on MW2?
infinity ward made the game type, but didnt put it up on the playlists, but it was still in the program(or however it works) and some hackers were able to get it out and make private matches of it. the one i played was slowed down, it was so fun i dont know why they didnt release it.
 
played splitscreen on ps3 with my buddy... well, lag is a huge problem, ****ing p2p for online games is a FAIL. its buggy, but it has potential. ill enjoy playing it more after they patch the **** out of that game.
