probably one of the best sets you can buy for the 3800. the problem with them is that they will end up warping the flanges if you end up overtighten them. otherwise they usually seal very well and are one of the better designed sets.
 


so really pacesetters seem like there a good buy (ceramic coated),
and the TOG headers.?
I want to get headers within the next while:P. so i need an opinion but it seems like everyone likes there own :P.

and ps.
2.5" or 3" Piping for exhaust?
I have aftermarket flowmasters and im not even sure what the piping size is (cause i bought the car with the setup on it). prob 2.25 or 2.5 but its older so i might just replace it all to new piping when doing headers. if its 2.25 i prob will replace, just with what.. 2.5 or 3?
 


You really do not need to take out the "u bend" unless you are lowered, otherwise it is fine. I really don't know what all that fuss is about. Speed daddys sealed up nice on my 04 gtp comp g and I've been running them fine. Reduced a lot of knock and I sealed them up with some RTV/4 Easy Seal Napa band clamps. Heck, even in 2-3 years if the stainless goes bad I could always buy 2 other sets for cheaper then buy ZZP's. They are the best price/hp ratio for headers. The problem I see with them is not what others have mentioned, but when under heavy acceleration in reverse it hits on my 04. I believe this is true for most 04+'s as they do not have much room for any headers in that rear tunnel. Also they come very close to the front fan motor but that was easily fixed with a spot fix of header wrap. Both of those issues are very small, unless if you were someone who must floor it in reverse a lot.

i have speed daddys and i love em. took about 8 hours to install because it was pain in the ass getting the back ones in place but once they were it was too easy
 
Or get a bung welded in on the crossover for your front O2 then another bung welded on your DP for a wideband if needed.
 
Got my SD headers Friday. Just read this thread all the way threw. So went out to the garage and did a mockup of the headers,on a short block. They fit together well. I like the look of the band clamp better. Now about the rtv, do you put it inside the slip joint. The gaskets are sh&t and willbe getting new ones. The bolts holes line up good, but the port holes do not. I built a few muscle cars back in the 70's and 80's and to get an edge you had to p/p everything to fit perfect.
 


im not sure that you'd realistically lose power, but its going to be so god awful loud that you're going to rip your hair out. at least put piping all the way back so you dont go deaf.
