Dont you find that alot of people are obessed with vw's? im not saying theyre crap, theyre decent cars but deff not the best! but they always praise that they are! My 2 friends are obsessed with them, and recently my new friend bugged the crap outa me when he got his new vw but this is what happens... lol

He got a 89 golf with vr6 engine swap, CAI and exhaust done to it. He wouldnt shutup on how fast and great it was. My other friend who is also obessed with vdubs was taken for some rides and he said that its so fast. Both of them kept sayin my car is crap and that it would own mine. My friend updates his status on facebook "yeah its nice to be able to put z28 camaros back in the school bus where they belong." So now i get abit sick and tired of all this.

I challenge him to a race, and guess who won? :) beat him with my gp gt, so i highly doubt he will "put a camaro in the school bus." He said that he now gained alot of respect for my car, but he still bugs me nonstop tho lol. And now i have a ssm90 kit and s/c waitng to be installed :) then we'll see what happens, cant wait to rape him in a drag :)

Seriously tho, maybe its just in my area but everyone is obsessed with these things. a 30yr ol POS vw thats ready to break down will go by, they'll flip out on how nice it is, and then a brand new camaro or something goes by and they say how much they want to s*** on it lol. I HATE PEOPLE WITH THIS KIND OF MENTALITY!!! it doesnt just go for vw, but all imports. BLEH its sickening
 




good win! but not digging the vw bashing as im trading my gtp for an 02 gls 1.8T Friday but i can't say that i know anyone really in the vw community so i may learn what you speak of soon and i will not be that guy.
 
I test drove a VW before i bought my GTP. Im pretty glad i decided to pass on it. However VW does make some pretty decent cars, just not my cup of tea.
 
i owned a 98 golf with 50k miles and every possible thing broke on that car ( car was stock) so i told myself id never get a VW ever again


1.8T's are slowww, wasnt impressed by them

Umm the same goes for people who own any type of car.

what does that tell you about a lot of car owners? :D
 
Vdubs look cool and that's about it. I don't want a car that will cost an arm and a leg to fix everytime is breaks, which even some of the recently newer ones do often. Not to mention I hear they are a pain in the dick to work on.
 
I almost got a 01 jetta vr6 manual before I got my crown vic I wont say its a perfect car but had decent power rode nice and handled well
Only reason i didnt get it was the stealership it was at was a bunch of rip off artists had to have my go through there finance "incase" my 10k capital one check didnt go through their financing turned out to be like 15k for a 6k car

Also had a 69 bug 1600 (pos) but it was a fun car and simple to work on
and a 89 fox 5 speed

Im not saying vw's suck, i think some are pretty nice, but its just the whole mindset of the people who drive them
