Stupid vw people who think nothings greater than their vw's

right, we talk about mustang owners like mustang owners talk about GP owners

Ha sad part about that is I sold my mustang to get the gp now I wish I had the mustang back GM sux my phat sack haha hows that brand loyalty for ya

Just wanted to joke around I'm bored

As said before any car person always thinks thier car is the best, Honda's, Toyotas, GM's, Ford doesn't matter. Everyone has thier own crowd. As a Dubber myself, the VW culture is nuts though. Most owners eat, sleep, and breath these cars hence why VW/Audi has some of the largest single Marque shows in the country and the world think H2Oi in Ocean City Maryland where the entire town is covered with VW/Audis for the weekend. Also, there are indeed things better than VW's, I personally hate our electrical systems, CEL comes on every time you sneeze, and theres always some sort of coolant or oil leak somewhere, but fixing these cars really aren't that expensive if you know how to do it yourself, same applies to any car. Take it to the dealership and you will be raped in repair costs, but parts for most VW's are no more expensive than similar GM parts. VR's are actually a pretty good engine in stockish form, but breaking the 250-300 bhp barrier is crazy hard unless a turbo is involved. But for 2.8 N/A liters what more can you expect? But then again most VW owners just go buy coilovers, drop the crap out the car and call it a day, no racing needed.
Okay, I'm done.:th_peaceout:

there's a slammed vw wagon that's always parked outside my work, it's on stock wheels, tinted windows and tails, and a german style license plate that says wgnmafia. i absolutely love it, just because it's different. i also talked to a guy with a golf r34 that says it can outhandle a porsche 911

I think VW is one of the ugliest cars out there. Even the name sounds horrific. I mean the name alone sounds like a German word for "Barf-mobile"

Hmm, never heard of that. I forget again, what does everyone here think of Ford?

I owned an 83 escort, a 95 Taurus, and a 96 contour.
Had rotten luck with all 3.
I hate Fords.

Now GM's - I have always loved them.

vdubs... their owners are obsessive. they praise the cars, how reliable and such they are, and theyre hypocrites.

check_engine_small_s19h.jpg

almost every vdub owner sees this constantly. american vdubs suck even more, since theyre made for and by mexico with cheap parts compared to euro ones. would i own one tho? yeah i would. the cars are nice. owners suck tho.

Yeah CEL lights are always on, hence why I now have CEL stickers on my car so whenever the dash isn't lit up, my car can still have a problem. :th_thumbsup-wink:
Some VW's are still made in Germany, you just have to get lucky. For example my GTI was made in Wolfsburg Germany, but the next year all the Golf's were made in Brazil and the Jettas were made in Mexico, but when the new MKV's and now the MKVI's came out, the first year of them were made in Germany. Most of the Passats, CC's, and Tourages are made over the pond though.

Oh, and next time you see a 1999-2005 Jetta/Golf/GTI go look at where the cup holders are... right above the radio. I'll be the first to admit that these cars aren't perfect but no car is.
As for the owners, yeah, euro guys are always an "interesting" bunch. But owning a VW can become a lifestyle (i.e. look for people with VW tattoes), but there's of course always a few bad eggs in the bunch.

yeah, perfect example is my two buddies. one of them had a passat vr6, sold it to the other guy and got himself a 01 gti. now the gti with a vr6 is awesome, the b3 passat vr6 he had well, ever since the other guy owns it its been a ****storm. cylinder misfires, electrical problems etc. and the worst part is that the current driver doesnt know how to drive nor does he know anything about fixing that damn vw.

and in the end he is a vw fanboy. idk, im just ranting. i wish more people were open minded about cars, and brand loyalty didnt mean so much.

If the Germans and Japanese got together to make a car there would never be a problem with it. The Japs can cover all the electronics and the Germans make awesome motors and drivetrains.

idk, Id rather have a Jap motor, with german comforts and probably a mix of the styling.
vr6 is good, but has its problems with cylinder wall wear. where you got so many options from the island, 4g63, sr20, 2jz, ej20, 1uz, and you could even go b-series if you want reliability and efficiency over power.

As said before any car person always thinks thier car is the best, Honda's, Toyotas, GM's, Ford doesn't matter.

IMO, this best describes a "fanboy" more so then a car guy. I think to be a real car guy you need to respect/appreciate more then just the brand. Damn near all of the major car manufactures have made a few good cars. To not acknowledge that, and simply dismiss one brand all together as trash is pure ignorance. Sure, it's great to be brand loyal, but there is a difference between being loyal, and being nut hugger.

My first car was an 86 volkswagon golf, more then 250 thousand miles on the clock when I got it. Learned how to drive a manual with that car, drive it till almost 300 thousand before it died. I loved that car, and was sad to see it go. Since then, I've owned a variety of cars, been a part of a variety of car groups, and seen enough fanboyism to make a man go grey. It really is sad, because a lot of people just follow their group, and never try anything new.

The list of cars I've owned
86 golf (loved it)
92 prism (hated it)
95 240SX (loved it, sr swapped it,loved it even more)
96 Camaro z28 (hated it, because it was so much slower then my 240 was)
98 eclipse rs (hated it, 1 hahn turbo kit later I loved it)
98 mustang GT ( loved how it sounded, made me want my Z28 back)
2000 park avenue ultra ( this was my first true DD, and the car that give me a respect for the 3800)
2001 Camaro Z28 ( Loved it, and kicked myself everyday for a year when I sold it)
2003 Mustang GT (Loved it, but not as much as the LS1)

I currently still have the 03 GT, along with an 04 Cobra, which is by far the best sports car I've ever owned. Also have a 96 mustang GT as a project car, i will probably get rid of it though, as I'm looking into getting an EK hatch for a new project. And of course, I'm currently on the hunt for a 6th gen GTP sedan for a new daily driver. The reason, because like the Cobra, the GTP is fairly cheap to mod, and I love the way they look. Yeah they have a few problems here and there, but don't they all?

I've been chased away from other sites because of the cars that I owned while looking into that site's car of choice. Hell, a few here still just consider me another mustang asshole, and would rather me just leave their beloved GM forum. can't blame them though. I've caught that treatment myself first hand from the mustang crowd when I had the 01 z28 and was looking into a new edge GT. I don't care what others may think, the **** goes both ways.

In the end, it really is about preference. However, your preference is not the end all be all. And it doesn't mean that you have to hate other cars, and their owners because they sport a different badge. All this fanboy crap is what ruins sites like youtube, and streetfire. If you've ever sifted through the BS comments there, you've seen, it's pathetic. An important rule that is too often forgot, to each their own. Think about how awesome most car forums would be if this was a concept more often displayed, then the desire to puff out your chest and defend your badge. Ok I'm done, sorry for the long rant :)

oppressed mustang guy defends himself. :D

yet your cars would rape most here.

I still dont understand why anyone has anything against you.

Being a lot attendant, i have gained a new respect for many different brands, and i like at least one model from every manufacturer. but my next car is definitely going to be a Subie :th_king-normal:

LOL, sarcasm FTW:th_laugh-lol2:

I'm not so sure that people have a problem with me, as much as they have a problem with the "car group" they assume I came from.
i for one dnt have anything against you, slowpoke. you agree with the majority of people here on multiple subjects about GM and other GP related subjects.

unfortunatley, the guy with the user name IGOFAST who became a member a few months ago ruined any fair chance for new GPF mustang owner users to ''fit in''. sorry you fell victim to the GP owners hatin' due to his dumba$$!
