• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Should I put my tb screen back on?

Id put it back on. Ive seen MAF inconsistencies with descreened throttle bodies on probably a dozen cars.

This is completely different given Ive got a turbo of course but my car will barely run without one because of the turbulent air.

Some cars will actually start idling like dog sh1t with them out. If your car doesn't like mine didn't...its hit and miss.

It is likely f'ing the tune up badly. The screen is to direct air across the maf sensor. If the pcm is programmed to read the air a certain way and you change that, you should retune the car for the change. Doesn't appear that you have done that.

Check your fuel trims and O2 readings. The car may feel a heck of a lot faster, running lean will make it faster and much easier to do damage to the pistons etc.

Do you mean it will feel faster with it off? Anyways I put it back on and my car runs much better.:)

Yup, it can feel/be faster w/o the screen. That's because it's leaning out the mix and causing it to run on the edge of troubles.

I took it off, didn't notice any difference at all after a few days, I broke the screen while trying o put it back on...
