So my car is getting TERRRIBLE gas mileage, It's got new plugs, wires, coils, 2 new o2 sensors new fuel filter, just ran fuel injector cleaner through it. I've unplugged the MAF to see if thats the problem, but it just runs terrible. Sometimes after I shut the car off in the garage It smells really strong of gas. It's been doing this ever since I put a new a/c condenser and new compressor in it. Any ideas? fuel pressure regulator? I drive 26 miles to work a day and it takes a quarter and a half tank of gas. Easy driving too, I usually try to keep the RPM's under 3k. Any guesses? It's really starting to get on my nerves.....
 






but if it was leaking, wouldn't it be doing it all the time? it doesnt leak or smell when its just sitting, it just smells really strong of gas in the fumes
 
not necessarily.... could be doing it when u turn left or right, when u have a full tank etc etc... when u hit a bump... who knows... gas smell coming from front or rear of car?
 
check your fuel pressure right after you shut the car off, then check again in say an hour.

Also, are your tail pipes more "black" than usual?

As in do they have more carbon on them than usual?
 


id haft to say fuel pressure regulator my 98 bonneville just did the same thing,theres a easy way to tell unplug the vacum line and see if it smells like gas ,if it does replace it:th_thumbsup-wink:
