i went through a car wash they scratched the **** out of my rims so my insurance company bought me new ones. I wanted something clean and not too crazy looking. I wanted the stock look but a little more flashy so this is what i got. here is a pic of my new ones and a pic of my car with the stock ones. 17" motegi

Am I missing something? Why did your insurance company buy you new rims for running it through a car wash?

My car has never even been close to going through an automated car wash for this exact reason. I had the dealership put a huge bold note in their system that they're to never drive it through their car wash as a courtesy wash. If they do, they purchase me new rims to replace the damaged ones.

The ones that are belt driven or whatever where your tires sit in between 2 rails and it gets pushed/pulled along.

If your rims are wide enough, etc it will happen. There are a TON of GXP (front rims mostly) rims out there with scratches on them from this.

no this one is where a bunch of stoners work and they have their workers drive it through a belt driven....
